First In Families of Mecklenburg County, a project of InReach is a nonprofit organization who supports individuals with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy or Traumatic Brain Injury and their family. Many of the families we serve rely on a fixed income of $700.00 from their Social Security benefits. This particular family needed financial assistance purchasing essential items that would allow them to remain independent and on their own. The individual has an intellectual disability with physical deformities. Having the appropriate towels, wash cloths, and clothing are important to his joints and personal hygiene. This is a high quality product that will last this individual for a few years. The individual takes 3-4 baths a day and relies on sturdy textiles to remain comfortable and clean throughout the day. The size is good and they dry well. They don't feel like thin, cheap towels, but they don't feel soft either. They feel scratchy. I've had them two and half months and they're already looking faded. I wash them per the instructions. Also they're still throwing off lint like it was the first time I've washed them! Read more
