I have found after trying more than a dozen different "High quality" Organic ceremonial grade Matcha tea's that this one is a top competitor for both quality and price. Now granted everyone has their own tastes and not everyone will taste Matcha the same way but given what is out there I have no qualms giving Terrasoul high marks for quality and value. The color is superb, a beautiful radiant almost mossy colored green, not a dingy brownish green or overly dark green (Which I find to be rather bitter which makes me wonder if the very dark green Matcha's are not as "Young" a tea leaf.). I like that it comes in a easy access opaque glass bottle. Sure beats messing with foil pouches in a metal can that create a Matcha dust cloud every time you open the bag to get to the powder. Seems like a waste and that is not an issue with the glass lidded jars. Not so much anyhow. All I can say is that if you are a long time Matcha tea drinker, give it a try yourself and decide. The only way anyone can know what grade or type of Matcha they like is to give it go themselves. If you drink Matcha on a daily basis then you will more than likely agree with me on the quality of this Matcha. If you are new to Matcha then you more than likely will have to try several types before you find what works best for you. A good Matcha tasting (If one is available in your area) is a good place to start when it comes to familiarizing yourself with what good Matcha should taste and look like. Read more

As a former coffee shop owner and somewhat of a matcha snob, I will confirm this is a good product. I use a little battery-operated frother to mix it with a small amount of water before using it in a full beverage and it dissolves really well. It’s very smooth and gives a great even energy. This will be a subscribe product in my kitchen for sure. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Wonderful quality ceremonial-grade (and organic) delicate powder that’s easy to add to bottled water as well as hot water in a cup, shake well or whisk blend. Love this brand, packaged in quality containers that are very easy to open and seal close (matcha, hempseeds , cacao nibs and powder). This matcha has a wonderfully mild taste that’s not bitter, beautiful color in the water. My favorite way of having this is a teaspoon scoop into 6-8 ounces of water for a quick and complete drink up. Occasionally I’ll go with up to 20 ounces of water for on-the-go, same teaspoon scoop amount. Read more

I normally buy culinary grade matcha from Costco for matcha lattes (milk & honey), and ceremonial grade when I want to blend it with just cold water and a touch of lemon. I was surprised by how bitter this matcha tasted when blended with cold water. I wasn’t able to drink it that way. My previous ceremonial grade purchases (Kyoto dew, Matcha Kari & Jade leaf) have never tasted harsh when mixed with water alone. I like the glass container and it’s a finer powder so it blends smoothly, however I believe this matcha falls somewhere in between a ceremonial and culinary quality, as it's just a little too bitter to drink on its own with just water. Edit 12/8/24 - I'm updating my review and adding a star after opening the second jar from the 2-pack I purchased. Unlike the first jar, the second one didn't have any bitter flavor. I'm not sure if the first was from a different batch or why the second jar was so much better, but it tasted like true ceremonial-grade matcha. I also wanted to note that Terrasoul has excellent customer service. Read more

I am by no means an expert in matcha tea but I have tried a handful of different ceremonial type grades from Japan only. I must say that this brand had the smoothiest and subtle taste compared to other brands I’ve had before, which I thought they were a lot bitter. I like the glass jar it comes in, good for storage, quality feel unlike others that come in resealable bags. The matcha is slightly clumpy but it doesn’t bother me because I mix it in a shaker bottle with cold water. I will definitely buy more when I run out because the price is reasonable and it tastes good. Read more

I’ve been buying organic ceremonial matcha for years and just found this. It dissolves well with no clumping and very little settles at the bottom of your cup. Excellent taste !! Not to mention, the container is cute and easier to use than the usual ziplock pouches. Terrasoul has extraordinary products. I will continue to buy this matcha forever! Read more

I've been drinking green tea and matcha for a long time yet never knew there were different grades and quality of Matcha. My healthy friend told me to switch to ceremonial grade matcha. I can't taste much difference from what I was using before but trust that this one is healthier! Read more
