My captive-bred, baby Eastern Box Turtle is just 11 months old. Shell is maybe 1.5-2" in diameter. I ordered a variety of juvenile turtle food pellets, not knowing what he'd prefer, or if he'd eat pellets at all. However, out of all of them, the ReptoMin is his FAVORITE! I like to put together a fancy "chow" of all the food I bought, topped with calcium powder, and his first bite is ReptoMin every time. The pellets swell with water and become large and very, very soft. They also have an incredibly slight fish scent, but if you're not a turtle, you have to stick your nose in the bottle to smell anything. These ReptoMin pellets are so easy for my little guy to locate, bite into, and chew. I recommended this food to the folks I adopted my turtle from, and when they served it up, the other babies stormed right after the ReptoMin, too! I heard it was like a baby turtle stampede. And they've all eaten live insects before, yet somehow the ReptoMin is just as exciting. Must taste great! I'm pumped that they make an adult formula, though that's a long ways to go in turtle time.
