I've bought these boots several years in a row. They are warm and comfortable but for us, the most amazing part is that they fit orthotics!! Any parent that has a child in braces understands the headache of finding winter boots (or any shoe for that matter) to fit. These snow boots appear to be made well. As far as warmth goes, it’s too early to tell because the snow hasn’t started falling yet. This review will have to be updated at that time. As far as these being fur trimmed boots, the lining is thin and doesn’t cover the entire interior lining of the boots (just near the top) so I have my doubts on how well they’ll keep his feet warm. What I do like about these is the Velcro closures. They’re easy on easy off. No annoying ties either which is better for my son because he hasn’t learned to tie yet. The quality looks nice. No noticeable issues yet. The traction on the bottom seems good. The size is spot on and runs true. My 9 year old son wears a size 5 shoe and these fit him great. He even has room in these to wear thick socks. I did remove a star rating because of the lack of fur on the inside (not as thick as I would suspect a winter boot to have). Time will tell with these boots and I will update this review as needed. **UPDATE** I wanted to provide an update on these winter boots now that the snow has finally arrived.
