Barber here- love how small this holder is. Very lightweight and easy to manipulate in small places. Great holder. The only problem why it gets a 4 star and not a 5 is the pivot screw comes loose far too often. I would find myself tightening it every day (I do about 15 haircuts a day). Great holder though. Very sturdy otherwise! I just wish it had a pin instead of a screw. Read more
Good quality for the price. If you have never used a straight razor before, please watch some YouTube tutorials before trying to shave with any straight razor. Very, very , very sharp. First time I cut myself in 3 places . I do like how the blades shave . Read more
I had been wanting to buy a straight razor so I can save a few bucks at the barbershop so I decided to buy this straight razor from Cut-Factory. It’s made of what seems to be high carbon steel on the blade holder which gives it a feel of good sturdy material and also for durability; especially needing something durable and light for a precise sensitive shave. I can say that the sharpness of the razor caught me off guard the first time I used it (I have used it 4 times in past couple weeks as my beard grows quicker than my hair). I should note that there were replacement edge blades included, about 20 singles. The only experience I have with straight razors is at the Salon. The barber was the one that advised me to get one since my beard needs a clean up or a smooth line-up after a few days from the barbershop. I apply gel to the area I need shaved and carefully shave without pressing too deep in case there are skin bumps etc. As a beginner, it’s pretty easy for me but maybe because of my continuous experience at the barbershop. Make yourself comfortable using it and maneuvering the razor around certain areas, which for me is the sensitive facial areas. I haven’t planned on buying new blades as I am still reusing and sanitizing the first one which works pretty sharp to me. Hopefully other brands of blades work without a problem but I have yet to test it out! Read more

I originally reviewed this at one star, but I'm changing that. I said the blade was hard to place, but that's not actually true. I'm unfamiliar with this type of razor and was unaware that there's an additional piece that slides and makes it easy to place the blade. My review would've been 4 or 5 stars if not for the *blade*, which I still find disappointing. It simply doesn't cut my facial hair. My recommendation for those buying this razor is to keep the thing itself, but get new blades. Read more
