Not to get too terribly graphic, but I think or at least hope only women are reading these reviews. I’ve had fairly heavy periods since I got my first period at age 12. Then the horrific cramps and vulvar pain that would shoot down my legs began at 13 and have never really let up. That occurs on days one and two of my periods. I’ve been active in running, cycling, dance and then broke my back at age 31 and nothing ever really changed, pain-wise. Heavy painful periods no matter what. So I thought I’d give these bad boys a shot. The days with the pain that shoots down my legs aren’t as bad. I love the soft scent of these pads (aromatherapy is amazing). And the cooling sensation isn’t exactly what I’d call Icy Hot in your shorts; it’s just a nice calming relief. I can see how it might not be for everyone, but it’s a winner for me! I wouldn’t necessarily call these an overnight pad. Most postpartum pads are enormous but I’ve been on the lookout for a nighttime pad that would stop leaks when I sleep on my back and roll from side to side, but is also organic and bleach free. Those are extremely difficult to find. I’ll use a towel and my “period undies” with these for now. Thanks, Honey Pot! **Also, something I’ve discovered since I’m a migraine sufferer, is that because of the WONDERFUL scent in these pads, you can wet them and put them on your head for help in pain relief (hear me out). Take one out of the wrapping but leave the backing on, remove the strip that is for the wings and fold them down to the backside of the pad. Now you should have a flat pad with no sticky on the back. Run cold water over the pad carefully to fill up the gel that holds in wetness. If you are like me, you will want it cold, so I put mine in the fridge for 15 minutes. I applied to to my forehead and between the cold that stays locked into the gel core and the soothing scents, I dozed right off the first time I tried this. I did it for my mother too and she loved it as well. Cool thing is that you can continue to reuse it and put it in the fridge until it wears out. Just thought I’d share. It’s pretty nice when products have other uses.** Read more
If you're looking for a product that is true to what it states on the packaging, and you want some true relief on your lady bits post-vaginal delivery- DEFINITELY give these a try! I started using this product the day I got home from the hospital- as I went into labor unexpectedly, and hadn't gotten the chance to put them in my hospital bag (bummer!) The first one is a little shocking- but in the best way. You don't expect the coolness of the mint, nor how the natural essential oils numb, soothe, and make any odor completely eliminated within the first few minutes after putting them on. I only bought one package to test out, but ended up using them as my primary pads until my bleeding stopped. I would 100% purchase this product again when I have another baby, and I've already begun looking at their other products because this one truly blew my post-partum nether-region pain out of the water. The packaging is also modestly funny, giving you some comic relief as you sit on the pot waiting for the flow to stop. They smell amazing, like I said, and the relief is REAL. It also tells you, you can freeze them for extra comfort- I did this on the second one I used. I sprayed it with plain water in a small spray bottle, not too wet but enough to get it moist, then I put it in the freezer for a bit. It was a magical, minty lady-bit relief popsicle!!! 10/10 would recommend to anyone who isn't allergic to the ingredients or hypersensitive to essential oils. I also did not have any open wounds, only abrasions, so I can only speak for my experience. Read more
Yes, you will feel a cooling sensation when you first put these on. The first time (right out the shower), I wasn't prepared for the intensity. The second time (midday), it was relieving. Loved it! The padding and top layer material are much softer than my traditional go-to brand, which is great. But what's not so great is that they don't stay in place unless your undies are super snug. They need more adhesion on the wings. Absorbency wise, they are pretty good. Had the wings kept them in place I would not have had any leakage. I will purchase again though. They are perfect for my lighter days and for back up to tampons on my heaviest days. Read more
Took a long time to arrive, but was well worth the wait! I used these pads at home after delivering my baby and loved them. They are spacious, absorbent, and soothing. Read more
The herbs used for the postpartum pads are amazing if you have pain, soreness, stitches etc. the relief I got with these pads was much better than using an ice pack. I waited to use these at home since the hospital provided me pads but next time I’ll be packing these in my hospital bag! My only complaint is it’s only 16 pads in one pack. I originally bought 2 packs and I’m glad I did because now I can’t find them anywhere on Amazon and I can’t physically go into target due to me just giving birth. Next time I’ll be sure to order more than what I need. I will now start using this brand of pads for my monthly whenever that returns! Love the brand, the herbs, the thought the owner placed on her product and her commitment to help us lady’s! Read more
That cooling sensation is not meant for everyone. I do however think the napkins are extremely comfortable. I think organic products shouldn’t include scents and other “natural” irritants - just plain ole’ cotton. But hey, that’s just my opinion. UPDATE: Once you get used to the feeling, the napkins are GOOD! I am still not a fan of scented products but I do like the absorbency as well as the scent mask the product has to offer ! Read more
