I did a lot of research on parkas before deciding on the North Face McMurdo. This one checked all my boxes with regard to warmth, wind protection, waterproof and price. I had the opportunity to try one on before purchasing, so I knew they run on the large side. I usually wear a XL in shirts and Jackets. (6’3”-205lbs). But with this parka, the XL was too large around the abdomen and waist. The large fit just fine. I was able to put it to the test this morning in Minnesota. I was out clearing my driveway. The base temp was -23° with a 30mph wind dropping the “real feel” temp to -48°. The outer shell stopped the wind and I was toasty warm. I really appreciate the down insulation throughout the parka and the hood. This will be my go-to parka for when the temps are really cold for years to come. I highly recommend it. Read more
I bought this jacket for my husband He said it was so warm and soft Loved the color and not too bulky or heavy I bought a large it was a bit big on him and returned it for a medium which fit him much better . Read more

Great quality Parka. Highly recommend. Wore in northern Finland at temperatures 5F to -25F and with layered clothes I was never cold. If it’s warmer, you can skip the layers. Highly recommend. I am 5’11210 pounds and size large was plenty big. I sent back an XL that was huge on me. Read more

Very nice and warm coat. Only thing is I wish the hood folded out of the way a little better. The exterior is very stout and durable. It is easy to engage the zipper. The pockets are very nice and positioned where they are easy to use. Read more
