As a 40-something year old mom juggling kids, work, and everything in between, I don’t have time (or budget!) for complicated skincare routines. I wanted something simple, effective, and affordable—and the Ordinary Lactic Acid Serum has been a lifesaver. ✨ Gentle but Effective Exfoliation My skin can get a little dull and uneven, especially with stress and lack of sleep. This serum gives me that gentle chemical exfoliation I need without harsh scrubbing. After a couple of weeks, my skin looked smoother, brighter, and just healthier. 🌸 Great for Sensitive Skin I was nervous about acids since my skin can be reactive, but this formula is surprisingly gentle. I started every other night and worked up to nightly use. No stinging, no peeling—just a soft glow. 💲 Budget-Friendly & Simple As a mom, I appreciate that it’s affordable and doesn’t come with extra fluff. The packaging is straightforward, but the product delivers. I don’t feel guilty adding it into my routine. ⏱ Easy to Work Into a Routine After cleansing, I put a few drops on, let it sink in, then follow with a moisturizer. Done. It doesn’t take more than 30 seconds, and that’s exactly what I need in the chaos of mom-life. 🌟 Noticeable Results • Softer, smoother skin texture • Less flaky patches around my nose/chin • Makeup goes on more evenly • A subtle “glow” that makes me look more rested than I actually am! 💡 Mom-to-Mom Tip Don’t skip sunscreen in the morning! Any exfoliating serum makes your skin more sensitive to the sun. I learned the hard way. Overall, this serum feels like my little self-care secret. It’s simple, affordable, and it makes me feel a bit more put together—even on days when I’m running on coffee and dry shampoo. Read more

I bought this with three other serums to use in conjunction. The first serum I use is Chebula serum, Lactic Acid I only use at night. Hyaluronic Acid, Resveratrol, Matrixyl 10%. I got this formula from an esthetician . The first step is cleansing your face and then apply the serums letting each absorb. Then I apply a toner and moisturizer following with sunscreen. I have seen a really big difference in my skin. The ordinary products are so affordable this routine is doable. Do this a.m. and p.m. Except only using the lactic acid in the p.m. Read more

I really like this lactic acid serum. It is gentle but still very effective. After a few uses my skin looked smoother, brighter, and more even. It did not irritate my skin at all and layers well under my moisturizer. If you want something that gently exfoliates and gives you a nice glow, this is a great choice. Read more

Great product. I have eczema that caused bad hyperpigmentation on my neck. Noticeable difference after the first few days of using. It’s a little drying on the skin so you’ll want a good moisturizer to pair with it but it was great 👍 Read more

Products is good, my skin is just sensitive but its actually great as a primer before my makeup doesn’t leave my face oily or shiny at the end of the day. Haven’t really seen difference in my skin. Read more

This was so effective. I was so happy with the response on my skin. I did not think it would respond as well as the Ordinary's 30% AHA/BHA peel, but it actually responded better. The lower % allows for you to use it more frequently. I love it. Read more

Good product but please start with the lesser concentration they arnt kidding. I have really sensitive skin but I figured I would be fine. NOPE. I got very bad skin irritation, ontop of the purging that happens when using an acid like this. Very uncomfy, painful, and looked like I had a bad case of the pox. I stopped using for a couple weeks and then I only started to use it once or twice a week, works lovely now. No irritation, skin is hydrated and very smooth with a definite improvement in texture. Also PLEASE use a good SPF if you’re gonna use this, or any other acid or retinol. You will burn. No level of skincare will ever be worth as much as the prevention of skin cancer Read more
