Okay, I bought this on a whim. I have pretty severe sebaceous hyperplasia. I have had chemical peels. I’ve had them burned off, frozen, I’ve used topical retin A from my dermatologist. It always rages back. I saw a review say this stuff shrinks them and makes them much less visible. I was put off by the price, but let’s face it, I’ve dropped a lot more than this.My first wash, I did not use anything to remove my make up. I wanted to see if this got rid of it by what was left when I used my toner. Initially, I thought this stuff would be greasy. IT IS NOT! It COMPLETELY MELTED MY MAKE UP AWAY! I have used it daily for about two weeks. It is unlike anything I have ever used. It leaves my face clean, but not dry. It isn’t oily either, like some make up removers that then require soap and water. I have purchased most of the face cleaners in Ulta. I have never, in my oily 57 years, used anything like this. The price point is amazing considering what it does. It even removed my waterproof mascara???? I don’t know what is in this, and frankly I do not care. It’s hot where I live, and my SH is not growing. My skin feels clean. It’s not dry. It’s not greasy. I write reviews only occasionally, but I want others who have struggled with oily skin issues for years to know there’s something out there for us. I can’t speak to dry skin, but it feels extremely gentle. Am I rid of my excess oil completely? No, but I have other solutions in my toolbox for that. I will do without other things to buy this again and again. I love other products from The Ordinary, but THIS one is the Holy Grail. I still have bumps from SH. However, they are almost flat, and much less noticeable. For my fellow sufferers out there, this helped me. They’re no longer the first thing I see when I look in the mirror. Normally I really love The Ordinary’s products, and this one seems to work ok but the smell is so off putting I can’t use it for the appropriate amount of time. It smells like old lipstick, for lack of a better description. The tube came sealed and everything seemed fine with it but it just smells old to me and it grosses me out. Excellent price, and I want to like it, but I’m just struggling with the smell. Read more
