A nice heavy mug with a good strong handle. I like the way the lip curves out just slightly. The black interior adds interest and doesn't show staining from coffee or tea, which I like. This mug, along with my other Unemployed Philosopher's Guild mug, holds up extremely well with dishwasher use. No peeling, fading, or weakening of the handle at all. I'm also a bit of a klutz, so if I bump it against the counter, I don't have to worry about it shattering. The outside looks just as good in person as in the pictures, if not better. I really appreciate the attention to detail and enjoy all the great Holmes quotes and iconography. I also like that it is classic canonical Holmes and not merchandise from one of the many adaptations. The Unemployed Philosopher's Guild always produces such stunning, high quality products that I had no qualms or even hesitated about buying this. This cup is so elegant! The quality is outstanding and I enjoy drinking from this cup. The edge is not straight like most cup but is curved outward just enough that I makes a huge difference. This size is perfect for the large cup setting on my Keurig to allow for the addition of Creamer to the coffee. I am going to buy another!
