For most people, it might be hypoallergenic, but not for me. I actually had a small systemic reaction to a skin test I ran before using it. I used not even a whole drop. I'm disappointed, because it is unscented, and I had high hopes. The price point is a little high, but I was willing to overlook that if it worked. No, I did not try cleaning with it, so I can't speak to its effectiveness. My reaction was so bad that I could not gift it to family or friend and chance an encounter or ingesting it off a poorly rinsed dish. *I did return the item to amazon, and was refunded.
