The Whispers Live from Las Vegas

I've been a Whispers fan for many years and have attended at least a couple of their shows. As always they give a great show and this DVD is no different. I got a lot of dvd, but my friends never want me to take this out a play another. It's that fabulous Whispers sound that keeps you watching and enjoying throughout the evening. For the guys that complain about abreviated songs, time restraints don't allow every song to be played full length, it's just not possible, they'd be there all night. Thats why artist run medleys. They did a great job of giving their fans a bit of everything. This is a must have!! P.S. It has to be a thrill for Nick Caldwell to hear his written song "Say Yes" sang so beautifully, worth every stroke of his pen. Just wonderful. Better get it while you can!! Read more

This was a great concert of a truly classic group of professional entertainers. The songs were very well selected. The interaction with the audience was personal and very funny. Although some of the conversations were adult in nature, they were presented with good taste. The only shortcoming with this concert was the poor video quality of the production. Perhaps it was the lack of technology available at that time. It would have been great to have this on Blu-Ray. Overall, the DVD is a nice addition to your video library. This is particularly true during these days of extremely high concert ticket prices, excess traffic and parking fees. I attended their last concert in Boston three years ago and unfortunately, one of the twin brothers did not perform due to a serious illness. As these great performers begin to age, it becomes even more important to take every opportunity to purchase their DVD's and CD's to keep these memories alive!! Read more

I recently purchased this video for my live video concert collection and the beauty of it was I was there when they filmed this video. The Whispers always put on a great show but during this concert, they went way back and sang some of their older jams like Chocolate girl, Olivia and then hit the new album also...that song BUTTA is vintage Whispers like nobody else can do it. They also inserted some small clips of them talking about their history and song selections which I found interesting. The concert was great, the audience was pumped up and captured all here in the video, filming was done very well and professionally. I highly recommend this video if you are a Whispers fan. Enjoy!! OooooWeeee!!! Just say yes... If you're not in Love, after watching this video you will be. Lawd How Mercy. The brothers can still croon. Once you see this concert you'll think you were right there in the place singing along. So many of their hit songs and they also take you back aways. My husband and I just love this DVD, despite the fact that we agree that it was not filmed by an industry professional. The Whispers prove to still have the goods and give a fabulous and very solid performance. In the past few years, I have witnessed countless performances that have had top of the line production (great sound, great lighting, etc), yet the performer's talent proves to be very disappointing.. I recommend this DVD to anyone who can appreciate a great performance.. Read more

This DVD was ok. I did not care too much for the interviews that they showed throughout the video. The picture seem fake or the lighting was not good. They performed, but something was off somewhat did not seem live to me maybe because they were on stage in Las Vegas at some bar or something. It was ok to watch but nothing I want to see over again like some other performers I have reviewed. Read more
