Customer Review—October 23, 2025
This stuff surprised me. Not diagnosed with PCOS, but developed symptoms related to insulin resistance and high androgen levels, many of which overlapped with PCOS, so I gave this a try. My symptoms: mild but sudden hirsutism; hormonal acne; suddenly never feeling tired, never sleeping (which developed into some weird insomnia where I was mentally exhausted but also ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM); extreme food cravings (especially sweets) Treated? Hirsutism; hormonal acne; sleep/insomnia/energy issues Untreated? Food cravings (I think this one is from working a brainless job that leaves me unsatisfied) It took an entire bottle (three months) to REALLY see results. And I used it consistently, following package directions. During the first two weeks, I had mild stomach issues. Nothing major, and they resolved. They're fully gone now. I have zero side effects. I've never been on birth control, and my cycle has been pretty normal for my entire life, happening once a month, not perfectly like clockwork, but close, and they've been pretty average in volume, save a random month where I'll just bleed REALLY HARD, but that rarely ever happened. When I first started taking this, my cycles went crazy. Sometimes I would bleed in the middle of a cycle, but only a little and it would stop. Then I would bleed SUPER, SUPER hard during my actual period. Now it's like clockwork. No middle bleeding. Light for a few days, heavy for a couple days, done. I do think my periods got slightly heavier, but it's not significant. Hirsutism took three months to really show any improvement. I was shaving in the meantime, once a week. Now the usual soft peach fuzz is what grows back on my face, and I don't shave anymore. Hormonal acne cleared up fairly quick, but I wasn't having all-over breakouts, just really big, ugly, deep ones on my chin/jaw. I used other acne treatments to fend them off, and then they just stopped coming. Weird sleep/insomnia stuff went away pretty fast. I feel like normal again. Flavor of this is good! It's mildly sweet, but barely noticeable in a small cup of water morning and night. I highly recommend this brand, and I've already got several other people interested in taking this. I think it works. I'm on my second jar now and will keep taking it for the foreseeable future. I recommend it, but PLEASE follow the instructions and give it the whole three months (at least) and see what it can do. Nothing in the body is ever "instant fix". 2/6/23: I started taking ovasitol 2 days ago at the recommended dose of 4000mg daily. My PCOS symptoms have been getting worse recently and I wanted to give this a try since I’m doing everything the same as what worked in the past for PCOS that my doctor had prescribed with the exception of taking metformin (I moved and have to find a new provider who actually knows how to treat PCOS so I don’t have access to it right now and was hoping this would help in a similar fashion). I had a mild headache after my first dose but it subsided after a few hours. The next morning I woke up with a rash on my chest and neck. It wasn’t itchy, but I had a bunch of tiny red bumps that were uncomfortable to touch and gradually worsened throughout the day. I took the same dosage that second day because none of the research I had done mentioned a rash being a side effect but by the evening it had gotten worse and I ended up taking some Benadryl before bed because I was still trying to determine the cause of the rash. Adding ovasitol is the only change I can think of. It’s been about 20 hours since my last dose and the rash is clearing up (the attached photo is from about 12 hours after the last dose). After researching side effects even more I found some others also broke out with a rash. Some were able to lower the dosage and gradually build it up or just kept going on the normal dose and it eventually cleared up while for other people the rash continued to get worse until they stopped taking it. I’m really bummed that I had this reaction because it seems many people with PCOS have had really good responses to inositols. I’m still debating if I want to attempt to take a lower dose to see if it helps and risk the rash flaring up again once it finally subsides completely. Update 6/25/23: The rash took about a week to subside. And after a month or two I decided to give it another try but start with a very small dose and see if I can work my way up. I started taking 1/16 tsp once a day and gradually was able to work up to the full recommended dose without any more rash issues. I did notice mild to moderate headaches the days that I increased the dosage, but they subsided after a day or 2 until the dosage increased again. I’ve been taking the full dosage for a few months now without any rash and no more headaches. My periods which have been irregular for as long as I can remember regulated within a month so it definitely seems to be doing something positive. I’m ordering more. So if anyone has a bad reaction initially, try to start with a small dosage and gradually increase. Wish it stated this on the packaging. Update 8/13/25: I have been taking this for 2 years now without any further issues. It has made a huge difference helping me to regulate my period and has seemed to help with other PCOS related symptoms as well. It is completely tasteless and dissolves well in hot or cold drinks. I have recommended this to several friends dealing with similar issues and they have had good results as well. If you’re on the fence, it is worth a try. Read more

I have PCOS, insulin resistance, and am currently struggling with secondary infertility. I haven't had a period in FOUR MONTHS. Started metformin about six months ago, and it seemed to improve things at first, but then my body just stalled out. Decided to switch from metformin to inositol, and knew this brand was highly recommended. I also take the Theralogix preconception multivitamin. I had tried a different inositol supplement years ago, didn't end up continuing it as it gave me headaches and I didn't really see an improvement in my symptoms. This WORKS. I take the morning dose in my coffee, and evening dose in a cup of chamomile tea. It is mildly sweet in flavor, and dissolves well in warm liquid. (I tried mixing it in plain room-temp water, and didn't care for that) Two weeks after starting this supplement, I noticed CM changes. 2.5 weeks after starting it, I OVULATED. I am still shocked. After four months of no ovulation, I was semi-convinced I was going into menopause. I have felt great, and can't wait to get my follow-up bloodwork to confirm ovulation, but my LH levels were the highest I have EVER had. So I definitely call it a win, regardless of whether we successfully conceive this cycle or not. This is the highest quality inositol supplement, and cannot recommend it enough. If you are on the fence, TRY IT. If you are on a different inositol and are hesitant to switch to ovasitol because of the price point, make the switch. It is so worth it.
