For a rechargeable this seems to have a lot of power. Works really well on the back and shoulders and equally well for the more intimate uses. The head has enough softness and give so it's not too harsh on the bones. The battery life seems quite good. We have used it several times and have not had to recharge it yet. My only gripe is the different pulsation settings are kind of hard to differentiate and you have to cycle through all the variations to get back to the steady setting even after turning off and back on. Let me just start off by saying.. the packaging was great, it comes sealed and in a slender box. And it comes with a charger. You just need a charging cube which you can just use the one for your phone. 😌 You do have to plug it in for a few mins to get it to turn on.. I did test it on my hand to see if it works properly. And of course, it works. So I’m like cool. I set it aside and let it charge the rest of the day. I don’t know about y’all but I do not use personal massagers for anything other than my intimate area 🌚 I had bought one at a shop in the beginning of the year for about $60, it was battery powered so I had to still buy AA batteries and it died on me last month. Something snapped inside it and it wouldn’t turn on anymore. This one was $38 and it’s rechargeable. 2.24.19 Update: The company reached out to me in Dec. 2018 to offer a replacement for the toy that had the button break. I was grateful and happy to have the toy again, so l accepted. Last night...the exact same button broke! This is with a light touch on the power button, you hear a small, muffled *snap* and then the button is malformed. The attached picture is the New device l was sent as a free replacement. I had the original Hitachi before it got rebranded. And although this one isn't as strong, it's a hell of a lot quieter than the original Hitachi. The highest setting is like a 7/10 in comparison to the original hitachis highest setting. The different pulse patterns are cool. I've timed the battery life and I can leave it on , at the highest setting for about 2 hours maybe 3 hours straight before it dies. And as the battery dies the strength slowly fades out. Till it shuts off. It stays charged for a least a month. But there's no way to know the power level since there is no gauge/light. It's fully charged within an hour of charging. And it doesn't need a super powerful chargerbox to work. I can use the USB outlet on my desk lamp or bedside radio to charge it just fine.
