I've had itchy, burning eyes for a very long time. My ophthalmologist recommended several brands of eye drops to use, but they didn't do any good and not only did they burn my eyes, but the scratchiness never went away. I called her office to ask what would help and her nurse suggested I use one of those same recommended brands, but to buy the ones that are preservative-free. I bought these TheraTears which are preservative-free and they work very well. My eyes immediately felt better and stayed that way for quite a while, plus there wasn't any burning when I used them. These vials are convenient, but to save money, I'll probably buy the preservative-free drops instead of the vials next time. The nurse also told me to use them three times a day, four times if my eyes were still real scratchy. She said that my eyes should start feeling better although dry eyes often don't go away. She suggested I also try an night-time eye gel, which is supposed to lubricate my eyes even better and warned that my vision will be a little blurry because of the extra lubricant in the gel. I asked if being on the Internet or watching a lot of television affects my eyes. Her answer? DEFINITELY! She explained that when we're on the Internet, we are staring and we don't remember to blink, so our eyes get too dry. I'm now gradually cutting down the hours I spend on the Internet in order to take better care of my eyes. I'm very satisfied with these TheraTears Preservative-Free eye drops and will try the gel tonight for the first time. Read more

I have been a dry eye dude for a long time now. I have tried what I believe to be every drop out there but all of them would make my redness worse and my eyes dryness even worse 20 minutes after using. These dont make my eyes more red! These don't feel like sand 20 minutes after use! These are also some of the most affordable drops out there! Possibly just a good company that is trying to help people who have a lasting problem! Thanks Thera tears! I can promise I am not paid for the review. Just wanted to update that I still love these eye drops, they are still the most affordable and actually work. I am updating my review because I noticed the manufacture still shows they CARE, they have now created less waste by packaging the individual vials in bigger strips of 5 rather than 4, which means less trash for the box and less trash from tearing open the package of vials. They ALSO switched to the design that has the lid you can push back on much like refresh tears. Edit: I see some people complain about the vial and that is valid you can't recap. In my situation I'm at a desk so I just lean it on my monitor stand all day and use as necessary. Someone said it's hard to use. You need to tilt the dropped sideways and allow the fluid to flow the the dropper end then instill the drops. Someone said it's sharp and will cut your eye.... You are not suppose to shove these in your eye, you let the drop drop into it. Read more

Thera-Tears has been hands-down the best artificial tears throughout my recovery from LASEK surgery 6 months ago; I still use these at nighttime before I go to bed and if I wake up and my eyes are uncomfortable. I rarely need them during the day now, but keep some in the front pocket of my purse just in case. Moisturizing: 5 stars. Just right, not greasy and they don't blur your vision like some do at first. Value? 3 stars. Like all no-preservative drops, outrageously expensive for a tiny amount of product, but you seriously cannot manage without SOMETHING, and these are the best out of all the brands I tried (I spent probably $500 on different ones in 6 months. NOTHING worked as well as these for me, even though I've needed a variety of things over various stages of my recovery. Different times of the day seemed to call for different brands. Hard to describe unless you've lived through it. These are not greasy like Systane. They don't cause a thick plastic-like coating along your lashes and over your tear ducts overnight that you can literally peel off like several other brands. Presentation? 2 stars. I prefer other brands' re-usable caps since even with the tiny amount you get in the plastic vials, you can usually get several applications from one vial. I'm not a hardcore tree hugger but there's no excuse for such waste and the cost is overwhelming when you use them all day. Surely there's a better and more economical option for packaging, and at least make a re-usable cap that you can pop on/off easily. TIP: the hollow caps from a couple of other brands (I think Systane and something else) will work ok on the tiny droppers, but only if stored upright in a cup or something where they won't be jostled around like in a purse. *2 months post lasik* In comparison to systane ultra high performance: Not as soothing as systane upon application, almost uncomfortable to put these in. However, they do the job and are decent at keeping eyes nice and lubricated. Again though I would definitely recommend systane high performance drops. More comfort and better performance overall Read more

I was turned on to these nifty little sterile packs 5 years ago by my ophthalmologist when I started having Blepharitis and dry eye. They are so great because 1) the product works, 2) it's portable, and 3) these vials are always a clean source of product. Where I live, we often have 5-7% humidity. So, everyone here suffers at one time or another from dry eyes. Plus all the sand and grit, plus dust storms equal very irritated eyes. Since using these drops, my bleph is gone, my eyes are comfortable. I also have the bottle version when I need to wash something out of my eyes. Great stuff! Read more
