After more than 20 years of contact wear and at 55 years old, I opted for lasik eye surgery. While it has been positively life changing, the dry eyes I was really beginning to have with age and length of contact use, has not subsided. I am now 6 months past the surgery so I am able to try eye drops that contain preservatives - initially after surgery my surgeon said to use only drops without preservatives. The dryness I have now a similar feeling to when you've worn your contacts just a bit too long or they need cleaning or a new pair. But this is something that is noted may occur with this surgery. A small exchange for the ability to wake up each day and see clearly without glasses or contacts. I REALLY loved "Aquify" when I was wearing contacts but they were discontinued several years ago. I have been struggling to find a suitable replacement since. I purchased these this week and began using them in the morning and at night. I am really hoping to find something that is long lasting and comfortable. First, I received 2 larger bottles. Some eye drops are in such small bottles. These bottles are EACH 1.8 ounces. They are a bit expensive, but comfort is a premium to me (just my opinion). These are a nice viscosity - not super thin (blinks right out) and definitely not a "gel" that blur your vision for many minutes. They stay in... and within a few blinks your vision is clear. I had no burning, no irritation of any kind. In fact it feels soothing and maybe a bit cooler. I am comfortable all day, using the drops once in the morning and then at night. My only concern is that the drops I received expire 10/17. With such large bottles, I hope I can get them used by then. I think that everyone is different and my review reflects my personal opinion and experience. Based on my experiences I would recommend these at least to try - being mindful of any allergies to any ingredients. Finally, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.
