Nice laptop elevation stand. Pros: Sturdy, thick material, slip resistant (my laptop hugs the grip pads well), doesn't move around, and the height is perfect. It was easy to assemble taking only 2 or 3 minutes. Just the lower bar needs to get screwed onto the support bars. Cons: I don't have one. The price was good so I decided to buy it. I needed something to lift up my laptop so I wouldn't look down all the time while using it. For reference my laptop is a 16 inch screen. Read more

Why would you want one of these? Well, laptops are fairly sensitive to heat buildup in that they will start to throttle their performance when the chips are hot. Sometimes you can see these temperature numbers using various apps, but sometimes they are hidden. Almost never is there something obvious that says 'We're running hot so we are throttling your CPU/GPU". Elevating the laptop such that it has airflow on all sides, which is what this does, is a simple and great way of accomplishing this. Additionally, you may want to grab some compressed air and blow out dust from the vents as dust sitting there impedes the cooling systems. Some people also use it to angle their keyboard, but as this one is not adjustable, and you may not appreciate the angle, so consider the lack of adjustability as a potential disadvantage. This is not an issue for me as I always use an external keyboard. This appears to be anodized aluminum with a slightly burnished finish. As such it is attractive and likely won't show fingerprints or discolorations. For such an inexpensive device with 3 minute assembly, it is really well designed and made. The anti-slip/anti-marring pads are a nice extra touch keeping your laptop and desk surface unmarred while prohibiting the laptop from sliding around given there are only four small touch-points to the desk surface. This minor addition to the product is the primary reason to not just 3D print your own stand. Some earlier reviews have commented about the screws being too small to thread into the bar that joins the two risers the laptop sits on. The item I received in mid-May 2025 does not have this issue - the threaded end of the screws sit a tad proud of the bar on mine. Read more

Simple to build, thought there was a steeper incline. But that’s not a important factor! Read more
