For a mineral sunscreen, it went on pretty easy. Don’t expect it to glide on as smoothly as other sunscreens, but I think that’s the compromise. First off, I am an adult and I bought this sunscreen for myself and my boyfriend who had previously used sunscreen with all sorts of bad ingredients. Over the past few months I have been replacing many of my personal care products to safer less toxic options through the help of the EWG Skin Deep Database. I stumbled across this product line as I was looking through the EWG database on safer sunscreens and spent maybe an hour cross checking reviews against the EWG rating (I'm a little obsessed haha) and was convinced this is the safest, best rated one. It received a score of 1/10 Risk Level - the only reason it didn't receive the highest level I believe is due to the fact that zinc oxide can be problematic if inhaled, though as this is a lotion and not a spray there is no risk. I used it for the first time today and found it easy to apply unlike many Zinc Oxide sunscreens. I stayed out in the sun and swam for about 45 minutes on a very sunny day and didn't get burned. Great sunscreen for sensitive skin/toddlers! You do have to re-apply more often than traditional sunscreen but the ingredients in this are much safer for little kids skin. Consistency is that of any other sunscreen. Bonus is that it smells amazing! Read more
I spent hours online researching the cleanest and most effect sunscreen out there and this is IT! As someone with very fair skin, this has been a game changer. It has a very pleasant, not overwhelming fragrance and if applied correctly, will not leave a white cast!
