Nice and soft
These came out of the package soft as can be. They are very heavy and thick to the point where they don’t all fit in my front loading washing machine at the same time. They seem to be quite durable. After the wash, they don’t feel as soft. But I’m guessing they need a couple more washes before they feel as a1500 thread count sheet should feel. Because of the nature of cotton, they came out of the wash very wrinkly. That probably also contributes to them not feeling as soft. I am well into my 60s and I am kind of reminded of my childhood when my mom used to iron all our sheets! Something I’m not willing to do at this time. Or ever! I am disappointed in the pillowcases. Partially my fault. When I read envelope closure, for some reason I thought it meant the opening was in the middle - like many throw pillows - especially since the picture showed an envelope. And that I could just stuff one side and then the other side. I have been searching for one of those forever because stuffing a long king pillow into a long king pillowcase is really hard! It turns out it’s just a flap on one side of the opening where you can shove the pillow underneath it and supposedly it keeps it in place. But honestly, I have never had a pillow fall out of a pillowcase! Also, they seem too long. Unless I have unusually short king size pillows, they don’t even get far enough to turn the flap over them. I do love the tags showing which side is top or bottom on the fitted sheet. That makes life so much easier when you are putting a fitted sheet on a king size bed. Read more
