I was very reluctant to buy this clamp because of its price. More than $100 for a clamp is very expensive. Unfortunately, I needed really to clamp together my Sparco Handbrakes and the Thrustmaster gearbox (exactly the same as the picture), so I took the plunge. It turns out that this clamp is very well designed and of a great quality. It has plenty of areas to modulate how you want to attach your equipment to it. It is clamping very well on my desk which is 2" thick. It has 2 large screws to ensure that it remains stable. In conclusion: 4 stars (because is still pretty expensive) Read more

I hate ordering something that have missing hardware needed for assembling the clamp with my handbrake and shifter. I can't even comment on how good or bad the item is until I get the missing parts/hardware. Maybe I'll just return the whole thing and reorder it or maybe not. This console is to hold a racing style hand brake. We did not buy this hand break. We thought it is needed for the manual shifter. As most of you are going to be sitting at a normal desk you have no other option but to clamp this thing to the desk. That is great if you had a hand brake. If you do not have it and use this console for the manual stick shift ... then the whole setup is now so high that it becomes totally unrealistic and quite unpleasant. What we basically ended up doing was take a large cutting board, sit on it and mount the manual shifter on the right. VERY realistic and nice. This console is really well built ... expensive and ... collecting dust. So, there's that. Read more
