Actually Awesome Tasting Good-For-You Candy!!!
Full disclosure: I bought these elsewhere, not on Amazon. But I wanted to review them here for the benefit of more readers/eaters, since they're probably THE best high fiber, low sugar, low carb candy I've tried yet! (Other brands I've tried include Better Sour—also really good, Lily's, Smart Sweets, and Mr. Beast Sours). So far, I've only tried the Sour Cherry flavor, but I liked them so much that I immediately started looking for a restock. Let me make clear that these are not the sort of candies you eat "because they're better for you," in some sort of noble, tastebud-sacrificing way. These ACTUALLY taste goods—like real fruit, and have a satisfying chewy texture that makes you want to reach for another one. The texture reminds me of something between gumdrops (but without the sugar coating and excessive stickiness) and those little "fun fruits" snacks they used to sell back in the '80's before fruit snacks were ubiquitous. The difference is that these are actually GOOD for you, won't jack up your blood sugar, and will help keep you regular. What more could you possibly want in a candy? Well, they could be cheaper, but I imagine it took some work to make a candy this tasty that also didn't rot your teeth and ruin your health. So, it's a fair trade if you can afford it. Delicious! Tasty and no bitter aftertaste in my opinion.
I actually really like the taste of these in the aftertaste does not bother me. However, I do eat a lot of low sugar or keto items. Compared to SmartSweets low sugar candies, these do not give me an upset stomach. I like this combination better than the red cherry. To me the red cherry did have a very bitter aftertaste. Read more
