We've used Tide as our go-to detergent for decades now. I can always rely on its cleaning-power. I ditched powders long ago, and found that the pre-measured pods always had too much detergent for our low-water front loader -- it would take constant extra rinses to get the degergent to rinse out properly. For that same reason, though I've been using the Tide Free & Gentle liquid detergent for a while, I've never gotten the measurement consistently right, and am always having to run extra rinse cycles. All this to say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE these new detergent tiles. Not only do I have a much easier time storing and handling the small, light-weight boxes, but I can feel good that I'm using less plastic and creating less waste! I've found that the cleaning power is excellent, as I'd expect from Tide, and that the square tiles dissolve easily and rinse well. I love the consistency in knowing the amount of detergent going into the wash, and unlike the pods, I find it is better portioned for low-water washers like mine. I will say that I wish they added perforations to the tiles, so that we users could easily tear tiles in half (or quarters) for very small loads or hand-wash scenarios. I can't say enough about how satisfied I am with this new product. I will continue to purchase the Tide EVO tiles exclusively from here on out! Highly recommend! Read more
While these work well in New Jersey's HARD WATER, you will need to use more to achieve any level of suds. I don't add them to the laundry directly instead, and since I have a front loading machine, I put two into the soap dispenser tray and the incoming water dissolves them instantly. I check the suds level and sometimes, depending on the size of the load, I have to add a third. These are very easy to use and the entire box is very lightweight cardboard so there's no carrying around heavy plastic bottles. The laundry comes out as clean as practical given New Jersey's mostly terrible water. Given that there's no odor there's no allergic reactions to either irritate your skin or make you sneeze. All-in-all, works well albeit you have to use more due to the water supply. Read more
I've been looking for laundry detergent that doesn't come in a plastic bottle, that cleans laundry well, has no funky odors or scents, and is affordable. This fits the bill for everything except affordability. One detergent tile was enough to clean a large load of laundry and tackled my most difficult stains. The laundry came out clean and had no perfumes or weird chemical smells as I've experienced with some detergents that come in sheet form. The tiles don't have a plastic-like coating that could gum up the machine, which is something I was concerned about with detergent pods. If they were less expensive, I'd buy them again. However, the loose powder Tide Free and Gentle is much less money per load, so I'll try that next, sacrificing convenience for affordability. Read more
Excellent laundry product. Cleans well and also helps to save the planet. Read more
We use Tide Free & Gentle liquid at home but needed something for travel that was not liquid and finding small quantity detergents that are truly unscented in other countries is difficult. These worked really well, dissolved quickly in cold water (visible in a front-load washer) and rinsed completely. One tile worked for small to medium loads in smaller European washers. I have more confidence in the Tide tiles compared to laundry detergent sheets, because the sheets don’t dissolve as readily and don’t seem to clean as thoroughly. I didn’t have to try these in a hand-washing situation so no feedback on that use although you’d either have to cut them into smaller pieces or use more water than would fit in a sink. Read more
My family has always been a Tide family. I grew up with the powder, switched to liquid when it became available and later to the Pods. Then I saw these tiles and thought, "why not?" These are the best of the many iterations so far. Toss one tile (or two for a large load) into the washing machine and go. Same great product and a much easier way of using it. No measuring, no guessing if you are using too much or too little. Just perfectly clean laundry, as always. Read more
I have been pleasantly surprised by these tiles. They clean very well without plastic pods or packaging. They are quite concentrated and I always use a lot less than what the guide in the package says; I simply tear the tile based on the size of my load. I found that when I followed the directions, there would be excess soap in my washer at the end of the cycle, so I just cut back on the amount I use and my clothes still come out clean. I use the free and clear tiles and they are fine for my sensitive skin. Read more
Leaves white residue if used in some side loading washing machines but fine if in top loader. Just soap so washes out if catch it just annoying. These are thicker than I expected. For some reason I thought they would be more the texture and thickness of dryer sheets. Read more
