I have never been a Tide user - I do believe the last bottle of Tide I bought was back in the 1990's. A combination of things - the price, and the fact that even with free & clear Tide, I broke out. Cut to a couple months ago and I had to get a new washer and dryer set and had a free sample of a Tide pod with it. I washed a comforter with it and didn't break out, so I thought that I would look into the different types of Tide out there. I discovered these pods of Tide Simply plus Oxi and thought that I would take a chance with them. I am so glad I did. With working where I work, getting my clothes clean plus smelling clean is a priority, and these pods delivered on both counts. My whites were snowy white, even without bleach (which I don't use anyways.) Most importantly, I did not break out. As well, the child proof lock on the lid is not adult proof, unlike another brand I'd reviewed and commented about. I have a lot of white cotton textile products and clothes. My laundry machine does not wash well, so no matter how much and high quality detergent I put, my clothes were not white. After the first try these pods,the laundry came out much cleaner and whiter (with high temprature washing cycle).
