This is for those of you on the fence about spending serious money on a hat! I purchased an original Tilley hat around 1985, it went everywhere, abused it washed it went to every USA state (except Hawaii I forgot it) and every province of Canada. I wore it out, rivets falling out material just gave it up. As Tilley has a forever warranty I returned it in 2022 they offered me a new hat any style and free shipping that's class. The new hat is excellent except the brim is a bit large when I play golf so I bought another Tilley that is just like the original. These hats are terrific, they last, comfy and look nice too. I love my Tilley hat. The brim is the right width to provide the sun protection I need for my eyes. The material holds its shape while wearing. The top of the hat has reinforced padding to maintain shape. I ordered the size 7 which fits me perfectly. For reference my head circumference measured 21-1/4 inches. This hat is made in Canada. Husband ordered this because of the specific customized sizing. He hasn't taken it off since it has arrived-- says the perfect fit feels like it is custom fit. Super well constructed hat. Made in Canada. Really thick, rugged cotton canvas should last a very long time. If you do wear it out, Tilley will replace it. That’s what you get when you pay north of sixty dollars for a bucket hat. If you are a hat person, then you will pay this price. If you are not a hat person, just buy a cheapy made overseas and you’re good to go. I wear a seven and three eights, but Tilley’s 7 3/8 was more like 7 1/2, just too big! Exchanged for a 7 1/4 and used my hat stretcher to make it just right! So, at least in my case, this hat runs big. Oh yeah, love that olive drab! Read more
