I'm a total hat person and can't even count how many I have! Recently, I've been interested with hats that have a single fold or dual fold in the bill of the hat to make it fold into a compact unit. This is super handy for travel, just bringing a hat in your backpack etc. This Timberland brand has been a solid brand in the past for me so I was pleased that this hat was consistent with Timberland products. The hat is very lightweight nylon type material, awesome color combo of tan, beige, green with black "Timberland" lettering and silver reflective "Outdoor" wording which is handy for others to see you when walking, running etc. The size adjustment is done via an elastic cord with a spring type tension clasp and it works good. If you're into hats, like the functional usage of this style and this color scheme or others they have, you won't be disappointed and therefore I recommend this product. Read more

I got this hat for camping and I really like it. It’s lightweight and breathable, so I don’t get too hot while hiking. The adjustable strap makes it easy to get a good fit. The adjustable strap makes it a one-size-fits-all option. Since it is a 5-panel hat, it folds and packs away neatly, making it ideal for on-the-go outdoor activities. There are three color options available, but I chose the more outdoorsy color for myself, although the black one looks great, too. I wanted to love this hat. On paper, it checks a lot of boxes. Lightweight, breathable, foldable for travel, and the split brim design is both clever and stylish. The materials feel solid and well made and I really liked the color options. It looks like the kind of hat that would become your go to for hikes, dog walks, or just throwing some shade at the sun. But for me, the fit just didn’t land. I usually wear a standard size hat, and even with thick hair, the circumference was fine. The issue was the depth, it’s just too shallow. I kept fiddling with it, trying to angle it just right so it didn’t look awkward or feel like it was about to fly off. Unfortunately, no matter how I adjusted it, it never quite looked or felt right on me. That said, I can definitely see this being a great hat for someone whose head shape works better with a shallower crown. If that’s you, you might end up loving it. Timberland is generally a good name that you can trust. This hat is no exception. It is well constructed, seems are good and nice material. This is a super lightweight hat. The foldable brim is a little strange, but is so nice to be able to fold it up and put it in your pocket or backpack, etc. The thing I like the best about it now is that I can keep this in my car and it takes very little (almost no) room to store and if I ever am out and about and need a hat, I've got one. Thinking of getting another one to keep in my camper, for those just in case moments when I forget to bring a hat. Overall, I like this hat.
