It is hard nowadays to find true “genuine leather” belt in department store. Even with many famous brand, most are crap made of man-made material with polished appearance but the surface starts to fall off in a couple of days’ use. It is a surprise to see Timberland still produces true “genuine leather” belt like what I got 20 years ago. I can smell it. I notice it is made in India - why the price is very affordable especially with holiday discount. I ordered another few different look - better grab them before they may disappear years later. I have been wearing belt for only a couple of days. The belt seems to be exactly as advertised. It feels fairly heavy duty, yet supple, and a little wider. I am happy with the quality and fit. I ordered a 36 for my 34 waist and it fits perfectly, with buckle at center of holes. Read more

Just what I needed, a nice everyday leather belt, this belt is genuine leather, soft, and easy to put on, it also looks nice, nothing fancy, but it's something that should last a life-time, the only thing that I would caution potential buyers about is the width, it measures 1 1/2 inches wide, make sure that the belt loops on your trousers will accommodate that width before you buy it, I highly recommend this belt. I’m a “belt person”. I always wear a belt. I’m not particular about the brand. I have no idea what the brand or where I purchased my previous belt but I know I’ve worn it everyday for at least 4 years. When I needed a new belt I took the lazy route and used Amazon. I like timberland boots so I thought with a name brand like that a decent belt would be made by them. After wearing the belt for about a month and half the stitching came undone that holds the buckle on. Garbage. So I went back to wearing my old tattered belt again and that worked just fine. Reason I’m writing this review months after the fact is because I left my old belt on the job site and had to find the “timberland” belt so I could sew the loop back together to hold the buckle on. And while I was asking myself why the heck am I doing this to a product that had barely been used I thought the least I could do is give a crap product the review it deserves.
