I can't count on all my fingers and toes how many pairs of timberlands I have which saying it out loud sounds slightly bad. All of my timberlands are so comfortable and just go with everything. Pretty much all of my timberlands are not spring and summer friendly. Even the lightweight Eco working even though Wayne absolutely nothing still get a bit warm in the heat. Decided to give these a try since I don't have any other canvas boots from them and they are beautiful. I also bought the white pair off of the timberland site itself because honestly I had enough points to get them pretty much for free. These boots go with everything and weigh absolutely nothing. I always lace my boots to where I do not have to tie them and so that they are pretty easy to slip on and off although some of the leather ones it takes some breaking in for that to happen without a hassle. I did not have that problem with these because of the material I was able to slip in and out of them pretty easily but yet they also feel secure while they're on. The only issue I did have and the reason I am giving four stars is because where the seam meets is right at my ankle bone and because of the material not being as dirty as the leather ones while I am walking if I am not wearing heavy enough socks I do feel it rub and scrape my ankle bone. Now this is probably partly because I don't tie them and if I were to tie them tightly I can't say I would have this problem. I normally wear a nine in all of my timberland boots unless I get men's size in which case I match them with a woman's 8 1/2. Because of the reviews I decided to get the 8 1/2 in these partially because even when I get the nine and my other boots I do have leftover room which I like so that I can wear thicker socks in the winter. The 8 and 1/2 fit well in these and the white pair I got I ended up getting nine just so I can see the difference. Although I can tell the difference while I'm wearing them it is not a drastic difference. Honestly with the size 9 I do not feel the part rub against my ankle nearly like I do with these but it is still there. I did wear these outside the other day to cut the grass and because they are so lightweight and with the material they did pretty well. Although I was wearing socks with a slightly thicker ankle portion my feet did not get nearly as hot and sweaty as they would with other boots. Read more
