This case is very nice and holds all of my watches in an organized fashion. When I first installed it I didn’t like the way it opened to the right and I had to reach past the door. After looking at it for a minute I realized I could flip the mounts over in their recessed slots and the whole box flipped over to have the hinge on the left now. This is a quality box but beware that it’s still made in China and not some furniture grade piece hand made in the US of A. The pillows almost all fit tightly into their spaces so you don’t have anything falling forward when the door is opened. You can even tilt each one to make the face the perfect angle and it won’t pivot inside its pillow slot after you let go. There were about 3 pillows that were a little looser than others but I tried them in several spots and found where they fit and were snug. There is a magnetic catch on the latch so even if your case is not exactly level the door won’t swing open until you give it a slight pull even with the key unlocked. Speaking of the key, it’s not really a security type of thing. It’s a skeleton key with one little “wing” on it that swings to lock or unlock the case. I’m sure you could get it to work with a paper clip or bobby pin so you won’t keep anyone out if you’re trying to have a secure place for expensive watches. It would keep someone from quickly grabbing one of your masterpieces but the whole case could also be lifted and carried away. This is replacing a dresser-top horizontal box and freeing up some dresser top space as well as working as a little “bachelor-style wall art” in my bedroom. Now I have an excuse to buy 3 or 4 new watches because I have empty spaces! Read more
This case is well made and very nice. Expectations exceeded! Very impressed! I have many watches and will likely order another. It is a bit pricey, but worth it. I put watches of all different sizes in it, ranging from 42mm to 54mm. It easily holds a 54mm watch. In fact, you can put large watches next to each other without issue. Some of mine are automatics with a large bracelet and are very heavy, with the heaviest being 13.2 ounces. They fit so well into each slot that they don't move around or sag. I highly recommend this to any collector that likes to have a large rotation of watches they regularly wear. I now have easy access to 30 watches. Very cool. It also locks. If you are considering this, get it. You won't be disappointed. Read more
It's very heavy and very nicely made. It is made to accommodate larger watches, however, several of my husbands Invicta watches did not fit in slot, however, because the door is deep, they were still able to fit. Read more
The cabinet was packed well & protected. It has good heft to it. It’s a laminate finish on what I assume is pressed wood, similar to how they do flooring. It displays nicely. The pillows fit perfectly in their cubes. They’re just tight enough to keep the watches snug and there is enough room for larger watches without them being pressed to the front glass. A few posts mentioned it would be nice to have a mounting wall template. I agree. The packing styrofoam is the same size as the cabinet. I used it as my makeshift template. I don’t recommend mounting it using the smaller wood screws that came with it, unless you’re lucky enough to have studs that match up with the rear mounts. Use drywall anchors in 99% most cases. If you’re hanging the cabinet, but you don’t like the direction of the door, simply unscrew and reverse the direction of the rear screw mounts. In essence turning the cabinet around by 180 degrees. Thanks to the person who provided the review showing their mounting of battery strip lights inside the glass door. That’s a game changer for making it look like a jewelry store display. I hid the battery pack behind the lower left corner pillow. The bottom line, the cabinet is a very good purchase. Read more
Looks great, sturdy and good quality. Had it multiple years now and still looks like new. Read more
Very well made. Sturdy. Lock doesn't really provide security but it's not something you'd expect from a box like this. Read more
I have a very large Invicta watch collection housed in smaller wood cases. Some hold 10 watches and others 24. They are all well made and very high quality. I wanted this to hang on the wall. Let me start by saying is is very well made and VERY HEAVY! The good news it holds my largest Invictas (52 mm and up) with out a problem. The bad news is that loaded with large watches this case is to heavy for me to want to have it wall mounted.. You will have to use wing nuts or find the studs in your wall to keep thing from crashing down. The way it is made with mounting brackests on each side held in place with tiny screws is not adequate. I would suggest you get bigger wood screws, screw them into the frame and use picture wire with 2 large picture hanging brackets. I hope this helps. I now have the case loaded (huge pocktes with pillows that keep the watches in place) with my Invictas and I litterally can barely lift it! I know the Invicta watches are the biggest made (not for everyone) but even with smaller watches, I would not mount this at all (even with wing nuts). You MUST put bigger screws in the frame and find a wall stud. Don't say I didn't warn you. Read more
Looks great and decently made. Easy on the lock mechanism otherwise it will break - that’s the only weakness beside the hinges so don’t put weight on the door. Read more
