These work well for keeping your pants up. They are not really intended for carrying a lot of weight and are certainly not the same as work-related suspenders where you have heavy pants with wallet, a knife and other such things strapped to your pants. These are basically dress suspenders. Other brands that I've bought that are designed like these have tended not to last very long because the elastic is not very strong. They work great for a while but then tend to peter out with use. Time will tell how well these wear. The clips on these are absolutely perfect for dress pants that you don't want to damage. I would never recommend the jaw type clips that bite hard into the fabric of the waistband. These clips are perfect. Normally I put buttons on my pants. These suspenders allow you to hold up your pants without interfering with a flexible waistband. These go nicely with the pair of Haggar pants that I bought on Amazon. Read more
