My initial impressions are that this Tinload analog alarm clock is solid (metal body) and very attractive. Its simple, bold face provides time at a glance, even down to the second. The placement of hands on an analog clock register time (daylight) to me instantly, whereas digital numbers don't have such an effect. Silent and smooth, the sweep second hand adds more precision. Time (the clock's and mine) will tell if the clock is durable. Read more

I like the build quality of this cute little desktop or nightstand clock. Of course, it's also perfect for any practical space and fits into any decor. The clock is sturdy and feels well made. I like how it includes a second hand. The numerals and increments between the numbers are easy to see. I prefer timepieces that include increments, the tick marks between numbers, as it adds some sense of precision to timekeeping. I like how the clock has some decent mass, enough weight so it's not easily bumped around if the desk or workspace is busy with shuffling papers or documents around--in other words, this is a nice office desk or cubicle clock. The color to my eyes is very pleasant, reminiscent of a childhood favorite coloring crayon and it has similar smooth, satisfying texture of a favorite childhood crayon. In other words, the painted finish on the metal parts is very high-quality and aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. The clock's setting knobs and function controls are user-friendly and intuitive. The battery compartment cover is also easy to open and close. In my tests, the timekeeping precision is industry-standard, on par with a significant number of modern clocks--fine for average or general purposes. I'm the kind of person who likes to set my clocks a few minutes fast to compensate for any losses over time, and so far, this cute little clock is keeping good time. For me, an analog time display with physically moving mechanical hands is so helpful in intuitively monitoring the elapse of time, estimating amounts of time to complete tasks, and visualizing how much time there is to work with in terms of quarter hours, half-hours, etc. The included instructions are super user-friendly; clear to understand. The backlight feature is operated by pressing and holding down the snooze (light) button. In dark settings, the whole clock display can be illuminated. All in all, I feel like this is a high-quality cute little clock, reminiscent of decent little clocks we remember from our past, as this is well designed and engineered. Even the clear, transparent clockface cover is solid and high-quality material. They used real metal screws to assemble the backplate. It has real metal bolts fastening the nice metal bracket stand to the clock. The outer circumference of the clock itself appears to be well-finished metal, or else it's a very high-quality and well-finished material. The clock backplate is decent-density, high-quality plastic. The measurements, the ratios and proportions, the specs, are all indicative of artistically inspired design artform, making this such a cute clock. I think the company has excellent quality-control and quality inspection, since the hands are set to 10:10 from the factory, which is often portrayed as the time on clocks in commercial advertising and marketing--a detail I noticed right out of the box, indicative the company is serious about fine quality and excellence in manufacturing practices. Some other packaging details are also indicative the factory is serious about producing high-quality products. Read more

This is a very cute retro desk clock and is perfect for my needs. It's dead silent and keeps time accurately. The time adjustment dial is a bit sloppy and requires a bit of fiddling if you want to get the perfect time but functions fine once set. Takes a single AA battery and lasts a long time, I'm nearly at a month+ and it's still going strong on an Eneloop AA. The alarm function is ridiculously complicated to set up and I have no use for it so I did not bother. My eyes glazed over reading the instructions, taking the time to understand how to set the alarm was way too much effort and they're so convoluted that you're going to forget how to do it the next time you need to change the alarm. I just use my phone for alarms. For my needs this was perfect. At the time of purchase this was $14.99 and I think that's a great value for such a cute and quiet desk clock. Read more

This is a small, cute clock with a nice blue color, and it’s very quiet and more importantly, no ticking at all and keeps accurate time! The stand is sturdy and lets me easily adjust the viewing angle, which I really like. The alarm is loud enough to get your attention and can definitely wake you up when needed. One thing I’m especially particular about is that it has a seconds hand and clearly marked minute indicators on the dial, which makes it easy to read the time accurately. Setting the time and alarm is really easy and intuitive. Anyway, it runs on one AA battery (not included). There’s also a single button that doubles as the snooze function and lights up the face in the dark, which is very convenient at night. You can turn the alarm on and off easily and adjust the volume as well. Overall, it’s a great little clock for a nightstand or desk. Read more

A very sweet little time piece that can easily be tucked away. I love that this is an analog clock but it does not make any sounds as it keeps time. It is old school yet has a contemporary clean look. I use it off to the side of my table when I am tutoring students because it's out of sight and it's quiet and I can always keep an eye on the time without checking my phone. I could see this also being very nice for a boy who's learning to tell time as my clock is blue and I think it would look nice in a boy's room as well. It has such a classic look. In addition to being classic it is also durable and keeps time well. This clock is very simple to set up and it's easy to read with a clean bright face, and functions exactly as intended. It is smaller than the size of my hand and is a great little value for the money. Read more

This particular example lives in my dusty workshop and I have found that the alarm is just loud enough to hear over my tools without setting my teeth on edge. Bonus points right there. It doesn't take up much room, it's easy to read at a glance, and it's solidly built. It's super quiet, very accurate, perfectly styled and it's very easy to set the time and alarm. Aaaaand I love that sea foam green color. I haven't had a need to use the light but it does work and fully illuminates the face in the dark with a soft warm light, so there's that. This clock is very simple and straightforward which is actually becoming more of a rarity these days. Read more
