My 2-year-old has gotten into scribbling recently and the TinyGeeks Jumbo Crayons (18 Colors) has become our go-to crayon set. They’ve turned our kitchen table into a low-stakes art zone without the usual crayon casualty count. These non-toxic, washable jumbos—designed for ages 1-8 with easy-grip shapes and vibrant hues—come in a portable container that’s survived several tumbles and yeetings. They smell good (a sweet, subtle scent upon opening the box), the lovely bright colors pop, and they’re durable but soft enough that my toddler doesn’t need to bear down like he’s chiseling stone (unlike our old set that snapped like pretzels). Below, I break down durability, ingredients, ease of use, ease of washing/cleaning, vibrancy of colors, container, and value for money based on our scribble sessions. Durability: These jumbos hold up to toddler demolition—measuring 4.1 inches long and 0.55 inches thick, they’re chunky enough to withstand drops, rolls off the table, and the occasional “artistic” bite without breaking or crumbling. All 18 crayons are still whole—a feat given how often we've been using them the past month. After weeks of enthusiastic scribbles, there’s no chipping or bending, and the rounded shape prevents snapping mid-draw. They’re softer than standard crayons, so my kid doesn’t press hard enough to dent the paper (or his confidence), but they’re sturdy for the long haul—better than flimsier brands we’ve tried. Ingredients: Non-toxic and kid-safe through and through—made from paraffin wax and pigments with no lead, phthalates, or harsh chemicals, and ASTM and CPSIA certified for peace of mind. The formula’s clean enough for a toddler’s inevitable taste-test. It’s not organic beeswax fancy, but for everyday play, it’s reliable and worry-free. Ease of Use: A total win for tiny hands—the jumbo size and rounded grip make them foolproof for my 2-year-old to pick up, hold, and scribble with without frustration or fumbling. The colors lay down smooth on paper, cardstock, or even our washable tablecloth, encouraging longer sessions than our old skinny set ever did. Ease of Washing/Cleaning: Parent-proof magic—they wash off skin, clothes, and walls with just mild soap and warm water, no scrubbing marathons or stain ghosts. I’ve hosed down a rogue wall doodle and wiped his hands mid-meal without residue, and the clothes came out fine after a cold cycle. Vibrancy of Colors: Lovely and bright—the 18 hues (from bold reds to soft pastels) pop vividly on paper, blending well for little masterpieces and teaching color names via fun labels on each crayon. They’re opaque and true-to-color. Container: Sturdy cardboard cylinder case with a lid keeps the crayons organized and portable, fitting in a diaper bag or car pocket without rattling loose. It’s lightweight but tough enough for toddler tosses, and the foam padding in the lid prevents breakage during travel. Easy to wipe clean, too, though it’s not spill-proof if flipped upside down. Value for Money: At $8 for 18 jumbos, it’s a steal—cheaper than premium beeswax sets ($25+) as well as basic, flimsy packs ($10). The durability and ease mean fewer replacements, stretching the cost over months of play. Additional Notes: Supervise under 3s as with any small parts, and they work best on matte surfaces—glossy paper can smudge if rubbed hard. Conclusion: TinyGeeks Jumbo Crayons are a toddler art staple—tough yet soft, clean ingredients, effortless grip, easy cleanup, vibrant pops, smart container, and excellent pricing that keeps the creativity flowing. If you're on the fence, give just them a try! Read more

I love these crayons. They are large and easy for my baby to hold. They are mess free, unlike markers! And they are washable! My baby loves even just playing with the fun container, taking the crayons in and out. It gives me peace of mind because they are non toxic in case she puts them in her mouth (with she always does, haha). Read more
