I really like green tea and I really like Chai. This is a delicious blend of both. There is matcha powder in the sealed tea envelope. My expiration date was almost 2 years out. This tea is incredibly fresh and flavorful. Photo shows very start of brew. Happy with this item and will definitely reorder. Also makes a perfect & unique chai-matcha latte with steamed milk. No chai flavor

5 stars for clean ingredients and packaging but 2 stars for chai flavor. This is a decent, middle-of-the-road green tea but definitely not chai. I like that it's organic, spices included, that you get 25 bags per box rather than 16-20 like some brands, and that each bag is individually sealed. However, that's all I like about this tea. I love a good chai and this had zero spice to it at all. I don't want chai to come from added natural flavors, I just want an appreciable amount of the actual spices that give chai it's flavor and depth, and this tea didn't deliver that. There is some matcha powder residue on the foil wrapper (as shown in one of my photos) but I would say this is 90% basic green tea that is SLIGHTLY over-cooked/cured causing it to have a bit of an astringent, bitter/burnt aroma and taste rather than a fresh green tea taste. Origin is supposedly Sri Lanka. Read more
