I am very satisfied with this titanium cutting board. The quality is evident from the first use: it's durable, doesn't scratch easily, and doesn't absorb odors or flavors, which makes it much more hygienic than traditional cutting boards. People generally think of titanium as a very strong material, particularly since it is used in aircraft, spacecraft, and medical implants. That doesn't mean it won't scratch though! This cutting board definitely scratches easily. The first time we used it, it scratched noticeably. We know titanium is not scratch-proof, but this thing develops scratches each time it is used -- so be prepared for that. Supposedly the scratches can be buffed out but we haven't tried that yet. Having said that, we generally like this cutting board quite a lot. It is a perfect size at 16"x11" -- not small, and not overwhelming either. We especially like that it is two-sided -- titanium for meats, and wheat straw (?!) on the reverse for vegetables. Thus the two never get mixed when prepping meals. In the corner of the straw side is a scraper for mincing up small things like garlic, which is nice but it isn't perfect. Still, it's a good attempt. The "straw" side isn't loose fibers; it is a solid surface. We wondered about that when we first purchased it, but it turns out to be just fine. It has a groove all around it to catch juices, a welcome touch. The board has a handle for ease of use, which we like very much. Of course it can be used to hang the board as well when it isn't in use, but we just put it away in a drawer. There is another version which has the handle "on the outside" but we like this version much better. In general, we recommend this board and would buy it again, or just to have another. It is a good value especially when on sale. If you can get it at a discount, it's an easy choice. Read more

I have used this cutting board a total of 4 times now. Meat on the "titanium" side, and everything else on the other side. The titanium size is scratched up already, it was after the first use, the other side, only used twice for vegetables, already suffers from what every other plastic cutting board does, grooves cut into it from just cutting up peppers and onions. I no longer trust this as a hygienic cutting board. I will stick to the traditional wood cutting boards, like Walnut and Cherry which are safer to use than whatever the opposite side of the "titanium" side is. It has already warped. When I have the "titanium" side face down, the cutting board rocks because it has warped up on both ends. It's not a crazy amount of warping, but guess what, wood cutting boards don't do this. Again, I'm sticking with the wood. I put titanium in quotes, because I'm not so sure I believe this product is legit. Read more
