I have very strong fingernails and toenails. Some clippers genuinely aren't strong enough to clip through them, and end up just kind of bending them a little without cutting. So I'm pretty picky about my clipping tools. And, it's also difficult sometimes for me to get the right angle when I'm clipping my toenails in particular. That can add some frustration to the endeavor as I try to get my hand twisted at just the right angle to get clippers straight on and still be able to squeeze the handle to cut. All of that i helped with these. They are large, sturdy, and easy to hold. And, you can twist the head to allow some degree of difference between the holding angle and the cutter angle. Definitely noticed it being easier when cutting my toenails because of that feature. Works well on my fingernails, too; but, the moving head didn't really serve a purpose for me in that case. As soon as I saw these nail clippers, I wanted them because I've never seen a pair designed like these, with a rotatable head. I thought perhaps that feature might make cutting toenails easier. In that regard, I am a bit disappointed - I really don't think using these nail clippers is any easier than a normal non-rotating pair. That said, I can't really complain because they still work very well: they're sharp and cut the nail cleanly and easily. The cutting mechanism works no matter what direction you rotate it, though I didn't really find any meaningful advantage in using the ability to rotate. While these nail clippers aren't a breakthrough in nail-clipping ergonomics that I was kind of hoping for when I saw them, they're still a good product that works well. Read more

A glass file is mentioned in the description. So 4 stars instead of 5 for inaccuracy of listing. Otherwise, these are not just for the elderly and they will most likely forever be my preferred fingernail clippers. They were much larger than I expected and first impression was I wouldn't like them. But I gave them a try since I was in need of a trim. The rotating head works so great! I never thought being able to change the angle would make a difference and while I never thought fingernail cutting was difficult, using these made it feel like it was easier to cut my fingernails. Amazing. They are super sharp and "cut like butter" through regular healthy fingernails. I use a different pair of clippers for toenails so now I'll probably have to get another pair for my toenails....and probably a round for other family members so they don't steal mine. Read more

Makes cutting your toenails super easy lol what more can I really say super sharp and easy to cut even through some thick monsters ( not mine but just saying) though I would be very careful as the design makes it very easy to cut a bit shorter then you intended on which we all know is the craziest nastiest feeling you can deal with for about 9 days straight. These are such a pleasant surprise. I visit my elderly parents frequently and often give full pedicures to them when I visit as their mobility prevents them from bending their legs and hunching over too much. These clippers are extremely sharp and make clipping nails a breeze no matter the thickness. The head swivels accurately and there’s no sway in the position you set it in. On top of that I can leave these with my parents to help them when I’m not around because they don’t require much pressure and provide extra mobility. This thing is big. If you have a hard time holding onto a clipper, then this is probably the one for you. I find it interesting that the head rotates and I'm not sure I have every had the need for a feature like this. However, it exists and it does work well.
