The grip is coated with a thick rubber to help you get and retain a firm hold while using. One pair has a straight cut and the other has an angled cut. An additional stick like tool is supplied to help clean out nail debris, etc. While I still have to use hand strength to cut thick toenails, the super sharp blades make it considerably easier. I’ve been doing my spousal unit’s toenails for a long time now. He has kind of strange feet and toes, and sadly, lots of toenail fungus. Can you say YUCK? Then there are my own toenails. I have tinyish toes, and tinyish nails…and I have come to hate the usual nail clippers, the kind seen everywhere, have to squeeze the cutter down, can’t see what you’re cutting, and they don’t fit over thick nails. Just imagine trying to do my husband’s nails with those kinds of clippers! Pure torture, and takes forever. Enter these clippers. OMG…heavenly. Strange word to use for nail clippers, but there you have it. One can easily see what one is snipping, for starters. They can handle thick nails of all types. They can handle little nails, such as unto mine. Now a chore I hate (both of us) is so much easier, safer. Takes so much less time, too. Love the pick thing. Works great. The clippers are quite sharp, and will wonders never cease? My arthritic hands have no trouble at all squeezing the handles…I had been concerned about that, as it turns out, needlessly. The quality of the materials seems high. Value? Great! I could not be happier with these clippers. I did my usual pouring over options and reviews before choosing these, and I am ever so glad I did. I guess the only negative is it was difficult to get the pick out of the case. I won’t be putting it back in the same place for sure. Haven’t figured out closing up the case after use yet, but I am sure I’ll figure it out when I devote some time to it (gotta get the two clippers in there just right…whatever that is).
