I played the Open Beta and thought this game was amazing. Once I got to play the full Retail release, I was blown away. Some say this game has no depth but I highly disagree. There are soo many missions, tasks, safehouses to access, weapons and player customization (yes image has less customization but the clothing and gear have tons of options the directly affect player abilities) to do and alter not to mention the Dark Zone (multiplayer section) available now and this is just the initial release. I would highly recommend buying this Gold Edition version as it comes with the Season Pass which will automatically give you all the new content and DLC Packs that will be coming in the next year, along with some advanced gear in the game. Can you play the game, buy the regular version without the Season Pass, sure, but in the end I know you will want access to the DLC packs that will be coming so might as well save a couple dollars as appose to having to pay separately for each of those as they come out. I was very lucky I purchased this Gold Edition as a Pre-Order here on Amazon through my Prime membership and saved $20.00. Very nice thing to do for Prime members Amazon!!! Amazing game, amazing content, tons of fun if you like playing scavenger/survival/3rd person shooter games..if so, you gotta buy this game!!! Also, I purchased the Tom Clancy's The Division: New York Collapse Paperback. Great addition to the game. Sadly this book doesn't even come with the bigger Collectors Edition set, has to be purchased separately but a very cool addition just the same. Read more

Game is okay. Coming from a R6, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell fan this game was disappointing. If you play Call of Duty or Halo this game is more along those lines in how the mechanics of the game are set up. There is alot of running and gunning. The environment is very impressive along with the entire map but there seems to be a ton missing from the game that could have been incorporated to appeal to the R6/GR/SP folks as well as the Call of Duty ones. I'll go through some of the issues I have with the game and how they could have been addressed, in no particular order. Realism: This is my biggest grip. The battles are not even close to being 'real'. Enemies are bullet sponges and it becomes a spray and pray fest with mag dumps to eliminate 1 enemies. Even headshots takes several 'hits'. Weapon performance is also nothing like the R6/GR/SP games. Seems like this could have included a realism mode that would have reset the game play more in lines with the R6/GR/SP games. This also makes it incredibly tough to play the game solo, several of the mission require multiple players. I was able to reach a level 17 solo but the mission after that I had to go multiplayer to complete. Geared towards Multi-player: This is my second issue is the game doesn't really have any options for the solo player. The multi-payer seems to work very well so far but I like to play solo as much as multi-player. It's difficult in this game. Perks, talents, and extra fluff: There are all kinds of odd perks, talents, skills that you build up throughout the game. They are annoying, frustrating, and don't really add anything to the game. I wish they would have made the user interface simple like the R6/GR/SP series. Your pick a character and that's it. You can upgrade equipment as the game progresses and have a certain amount of add-one's you can equip and that's it. Also the amount of crap you can carry with your player is excessive. I wish they would have set it up so you had to pick your gear before leaving the Safe Houses and that was what you carried until you returned to another Safe House. Controls: The controls are okay but I don't get why every single games has to go through and change the controls. Is there a reason they can't keep the same through game series (ie Tom Clancy series). I don't care for the cover system and while it works well most of the time several time it screws me as the system won't let me break cover. The R6 method of taking cover while a control is held works better as when you release the control the character breaks cover. The lack of a crouch position is also annoying. With a environment as rich as this one it is sorta disappointing that they didn't incorporated environments that could be used for gameplay similar to Splinter Cell. In some of the factories there are tons of places one could scale pipes, etc to add a element to the gameplay. Of course unless those paths lead to some sort of cover it wouldn't be useful much as there are no 1 shot kills like Splinter Cell. hard to empty a machine gun magazine while hanging upside down on a pipe. Gear & Weapons: Again I wish they had set it up closer to the R6/GS series where you had a primary, secondary, sidearm, and 2 or 3 gadget slots for grenades, mines, etc. Armour would be set before you hit the streets. I don't care for how the guns get more power full as you increase in levels. A M4 in Level 1 is a pee shooter compared to Level 17 M4. this doesn't makes any sense as a gun has a finite amount of power and that's it. I prefer the gameplay where you have several weapons and they are fixed for the entire game. You can mod them out and unlock new ones as you increase in levels, similar to the Future Solider method. Dark Zone: I don't get this section of the game. It sorta like player can play against each other but that's not quite the case. It seems like it's an area to get better gear but I guess it just doesn't interest me. I tried it in the Beta version and I just didn't see the point. I haven't used it since playing the full version. Enemies: The super bad baddies at the end of each level are ridiculous. It's like they took a page right from Mario and the end level bad guys has triple armour and shakes of grenades, mines, machine gun fire like you throwing pillows at them. The mission can be fun at times until you get to the end and then it's just a grind fest, retarded. These aren't superheroes, they don't have any special powers. If and oxy acetylene tank explodes next to you, you're dead. Not walk through it. So that's about it. It's not a bad game it's just quite aways from the typical Tom Clancy series which is disappointing. The storyline is good, the maps are pretty amazing, the mission layouts are good, the rebuilding of the various branches of government and support areas is good, everything was there for an awesome game. So if you want to try this game out and are coming from the R6/GR/SP side I would buy the cheapest version available. See if you like it before buying the expansion packs. Read more

Despite the many bugs and glitches this game has had, it is still an amazingly fun looter shooter. If you go online and search the division you will see a lot of different opinions on the game however the one thing that is consistent is that the shooting feels good and the leveling experience was very satisfying. This game is very ambitious and attempts to push the envelope as far as innovating the gameplay mechanics by allowing PVE and PVP content to operate in the same space. Although it made for some very toxic encounters (especially when in proximity chat, which can be turned off), the one thing I loved most about this game was when I was in the PvEvP Dark zone, the tension of not knowing if a fellow player was there to help or steal your loot was intense to say the least. No words can describe the absolute rush you get from getting jumped by 2 or 3 players and taking them out is absolutely invigorating. Do not let the sea of angry gamers in this community deter you from at least enjoying the PVE aspect of the game. You will notice a very critical community here who despite their disdain for the game have logged in hundreds of hours of playtime. If the game was as bad as they say, the HUNDREDS upon HUNDREDS of hours of play time should tell you that maybe they are being a little too critical. Overall I would still recommend this game since I have it on both xbox one and PC. The dark zone might be toxic but the survival game mode and the PVE make this particular package well worth the purchase. Read more
