Update: after washing the black shrug and the sky captain (blue) shrug, which I only wore about two or three times each, I was arranging them to dry flat while standing in front of the window. With the sunlight shining through the window, I saw there are little holes in the knitting on the back, as if the yarn just disintegrated. I only wear them for my work (office) and wash in cold/gentle/flat dry so they should have held up better. So disappointed! I downgraded these to three stars and concluded these are nowhere near the quality of my Calvin Kleins and would likely not purchase more, as these are now destined for the rag bag. ☹️ I wear a lot of the Calvin Klein and amazon’s Grace Karin brand shrugs with my sleeveless work dresses as a more casual alternative to a blazer or suit jacket. The price was right so I bought several of these Tommy Hilfiger shrugs in all the colours - with low expectations of they’d last for one or two seasons, then relegated to the rag bag. Golden buttons on the sleeve “tab” area is a lovely touch, really nice but subtle. The fit seems forgiving - I’ve bought 1x, 2X, and 3x and they all fit just fine (I’m 18w - an apple shape/short waisted with average size arms and bust). Not too tight but not too big/sloppy. Very comfortable flattering lightweight knit WITH NO PILLING…yet. And the knit doesn’t feel scratchy or make me itchy; I never get too hot wearing these ever but they will ward off that little chill I sometimes have in air conditioned spaces. Washes up nicely, too, with no fading or losing its shape, although I do dry these flat. Read more
