I wanted a sling or crossbody for days when I’m out in the city or at a theme park. Being able to swing the bag in front for easy access to items AND for security was a must. I had a small Herschel crossbody I used while in Asia last year that worked well for small items and it inspired me to look for something in the 5-10 liter range. After some time I decided to give this a bag a try. Pros: 1. It’s very affordable in terms of features. 2. 5.5 liters is a good amount of space to carry your essentials. I could even fit a Hydroflask 32 oz bottle in it! 3. I personally really liked the way the straps are angled, how they swivel to move with your body, and the quick release function. Very handy. 4. The strap is pretty comfortable with a wide pad and is also very versatile due to the loops on it. I like to attach carabiners to hang frequently used items on it. Cons: 1. The only major con I have with this bag is the depth. I would have preferred a slightly shorter bag end to end, and have it taller and deeper to more easily fit a bottle. I know it’s not made with water bottles in mind but it would be a nice to have. I’ve been using this bag regularly for over a year now and the fabric is still almost brand new. I would still recommend this to anyone looking to dive into crossbody bags as a first purchase. Big guys looking for a sling bag, this is it. Now that I have reading glasses, a bigger phone, wallet, keys, etc etc, I used to carry them in my pockets and it would be uncomfortable and bulgy. I was searching for a bag, and I went through a few so far: Chrome Mini Kadet, Inatech Sling bag X, and now this. The Chrome was by far the best looking and best build, but it was small for me (still keeping it as a goal to lose weight lol). The Inatech was a bit too small in storage and looked unimpressive in person despite having a good strap length. I took a chance on this Tomtoc 5.5 Sling and it's the best of both. It has the good looks and storage capacity of the Chrome, with an even better strap than the Inatech. The strap ends bend a little near the clip, which helps with body contour. It may be a bit big for the average person for a close sling, but it's perfect for any and all big chunguses out there. The interior is well thought out and spacious, with many pockets to organize (more than the Chrome). The only "negative" i have for now is that there is no key ring, but honestly that's a very very small problem since i'll be detaching them all the time anyway. Read more
