If you are cursed with deeper taste buds (unfortunately a real thing), you know how certain food items tend to stick around, and toothbrushes just don't work so well on cleaning between deeper buds. This tongue scraper does an outstanding job at quickly removing residuals from things like red wine or coffee and does it comfortably. If you are using the inexpensive plastic ones, this would be a huge step up. Best of all, its low profile allows you to get in further to the back of the tongue without triggering the gag reflex like the plastic ones do for me. At just over 6", it gives plenty of reach. The screw on knurled sections have excellent grip and it does not flex when applying downward pressure. The edge has the perfect radius so that it's highly effective without feeling sharp or uncomfortable. The plastic ones tend to have more rounded rakes so you have to scrap for longer periods (red wine !) not to mention they can snap from applying pressure. Just a couple passes after morning coffee did what it would take a dozen or more passes with the plastic ones. Wish I had gotten one earlier. Read more
