My entire staff got a big kick out of these pads in funky cool colors. The paper weight is perfect, and the pads are very practical, as well as offering an unconventional look. In addition, the color comes off as vibrant, not at all tacky. We use them in-house for drafting notes and stuff, as the little bit of color tends to cheer things up. As our work requires a sober and traditional appearance, these are not something that we would not normally use in front of clients. However, if you are in a more creative orientated business, such as the internet, advertising, or media related fields, the splash of color could be a big plus. The price is a bit high for six notebooks, but the trendy looks, and quality make them worthwhile. The only drawback is that they are much longer than other pads currently in use. I have not measured them, but they look to be 14 inches. Thus, if you need to fit your notes into a standard sized file, this might not be the best option for you. Read more
The paper is nice but it doesn’t feel like 29LB paper (110gsm) vs. Docket Gold at 20LB or 50% heavier. I’m looking further at that. Virtually no bleedthrough. I wish the cardboard backing was stiffer not flexible. I’m also looking into non Fountain Pen performance with rollerballs. I just received them over the weekend here. I prefer pads with stiff cardboard as a back. These are not that. I will be returning these. On the plus side, the colors are true when compared with the website, and the paper is thick. It is the cardboard they are attached to....it will bend in half without any effort. Too bad, I really wanted to like these.... Read more
I am enjoying using this paper. It is smooth, thick and it performs well with a variety of inks/utensils. There are 6 pads of paper shrink wrapped together, each pad is a different color, including one pad of white paper. I’m not an expert on paper and couldn’t even guess at the paper weight but it is much heavier than notebook paper. I tested the paper with a variety of pencil, pens/inks and markers that we use most often. In the photo you can see that none of the inks feathered on this paper. Checking the back side of the paper there is some ghosting with only the sharpie and fine fountain pen inks. Only the very wet, broad fountain pen ink has some bleed through. I have been using this with various fountain pens, inks and nib sizes without any issues. Folks have certain qualities that they like in their paper. This might have the qualities you’re looking for. Wow these colors are so fantastic! The Purple, blue, pink, green and yellow all are the great colors of like expensive copy paper. I know this because I’ve had to hunt down colors for a classroom before. There’s also a white pad which is super because there have been more times than I can count when I was in a time crunch and couldn’t find a basic white pad, only the generic blah yellow. But even this yellow pad here looks like it’s out of a technicolor movie from the 1960’s! They’re also 8.5 x 14 and a smidge. Hey the more the merrier! Now the paper itself! It is nice and thick! Not card stock too thick but thicker than a regular pad that you could see through if I wrote with my fave pilot g-2 or Acroball. If I can just keep these hidden from my jr and sr in high school. Colored Legal Pad Writing Pads 8.5 x 11.7 Inch 6 Pack, thats what was ordered. I did get a 6 pack of legal pads, WAY oversized legal pads. These were supposed to be 8.5 x 11.7, the 11.7 being so it fits inside of the pad folio. These absolutely do not fit. The pads are 14 INCHES LONG!!! I’ve never even seen a 14 or 15 inch padfolio that would come close to holding these. I place them in my folio and they stick out 2 inches! The only good thing, they are paper, and they did come in multiple colors and in a set of 6. If you get these, be prepared to take these and trine off a large chunk from the bottom to make it fit your folio. Read more
This paper is great to use a fountain pen on—there’s no bleed through. The colors are great! The paper isn’t super smooth, which I prefer, but these have such great colors, I don’t care! The backing could be sturdier for the size. They are too long for a clipboard, but if you’re working at a deck, these should work fine. I do wonder why they made these sooo long though. Read more
