This Torch Lighter isn’t for amatures! The blazing wick fueled by kerosene fluid produces a large flame. This unique Torch, has a solid brass exterior, which is substantially weighted has a handsome vintage design. The torch comes with additional wicks, flints and a small bottle of lighter fluid. I have used the torch to light an outdoor bonfire, its not appropriate for indoor use as its just a huge flame. I would recommend being very aware during fire season as this torch could easily set the entire forest ablaze. The media could not be loaded. Don't hold it upside down or the kerosene will leak into the Flintstone chamber and actually will leak out of the top. I don't think it leaks if there's no kerosene in it when you start to fill it but if there is kerosene in it when you flip it upside down it will absolutely wet your Flintstone and then it won't light and it'll leak if you hold it too long It's definitely cool. It's just not the perfect design and that's the only reason I'm not giving it five stars. If it wasn't a little finicky it's definitely a five star product They give you plenty of Flintstones and probably enough kerosene to refill it 2 1/2 to 3 times. I imagine you should be able to get several hundred lights out of one refill and maybe 50 to 100 lights out of each Flintstone but I'm truly guessing based on how many times I've lit it and how much of a Flintstone I have left and how much kerosene I have left obviously I do like it I'm excited to have it I'm excited to show it off. I'm worried about storing it if it's going to leak but as long as I'm careful when I put it up to make sure that it can't go upside down I should be OK put in it flat in a drawer makes me a little nervous too Because if it leaks it's gonna leak over whatever's in the drawer with it and I don't really feel like storing it with the big box but at least with the big box it has a foam cut out and it won't roll so I don't know I'll come up with something. But it's because of these little thoughts I have to give it that it's not a five star product at the moment I don't think there's much value in this product considering if you really want value you shouldn't be trying to get what in essence is a piece of art or a collectors item. Loved it at first and worked as advertised but after not using it for 2 weeks (a month and a half later after purchase) it didn’t work. I noticed all the fuel had leaked out. After trying to refill it the leak wouldn’t stop. I was extremely impressed at first and loved using it but it’s not unusable after a month and a half. Feels like good quality but for the price point and not being able to use it anymore less than two months after purchase. It could be the kerosine ate away at the seal which is harsh but if that’s the nature of the beast fine. Give me extra seals. But it won’t quit leaking and this is a rather expensive purchase. Yeah I may have purchased this for fun but it's actually really useful if you live in the woods. Great for starting burn piles and my tiki torches. Also great for quick light in the dark fire helps scare of predators when I'm checking my chicken coop at night. Fun little product and even comes with fuel and extra flints.
