The light points straight ahead if you wear the hat. I thought if would point down so I see where I was walking, but I have to tilt my head down or pull the hat over my eyebrows. I like how bid the hat is to cover my ears and stay on my head lust disappointed in the light. Read more

Didn't do the job for me so I returned it.
I liked the hat and it was cute and fit nicely. But the headlamp didn't illuminate the street which is what I needed to walk the dog after dinner in the fall and winter when it's dark. I wish the beam could have been directed downward but no such luck. Read more
