I wanted to write a review because the picture used for product does not do it Justice. I have attached a picture of Violet Storm so that you can really see how beautiful this color is! I use robe as towel when I shower not as covering over pjs. Robe is VERY absorbent and comfortable. I am a size 18, 220lbs, hourglass shape, 40G chest, and got the XL-XXL. It fits really well especially around chest area. I think this size would be appropriate for 18-22. I can close almost all the way to the other side so there is lots of room to play with if someone has a bigger body. Incredible value for the price! I was looking for a bath robe that would feel like a towel but not be too bulky or hot. After reading some of the reviews, I proceeded with caution and bought a white robe. To address some of the comments that almost kept me from purchasing: 1. This robe is not too thick or too thin. It is a perfect, high-quality towel weight. It's not fluffy, and it's not a dish towel. It's right in between. 2. This robe does not have a bunch of frays. If it does fray in the wash, snip them! But mine arrived in great condition and washed well. 3. This robe is true to size, but has extra room...because it's a robe. I wear a XXL in clothing, so I bought the XL/XXL and it's a perfect fit. 4. This robe is very absorbent. After I wash my hair (which is long) it doesn't soak the neck of the robe, which is nice. This is a great product. You'd spend a lot more money at Lands End or a department store for this robe. Been needing to replace 2 old terry robes for longer than I care to think about, but the stores just don't stock them anymore. If, by chance, you do find a good one, the price is ridiculous. I still think this price is ridiculous, but so is everything else these days ;^) Had a slight chemical smell when it arrived, a quick trip thru the washer & dryer took that out. I was leery of there being only 2 sizes available, as I'm a big fellow, but this one covers everything & then some; a bit oversize, if anything, but that's not an issue - I have no doubt it will shrink some over time. Nice & soft against the skin coming out of the shower, my old robes were quite scratchy. I'll be ordering another one soon for a backup. UPDATE 7/30/13: After the second trip thru the wash, the stitching at the end of the belt tie has come unraveled. Pretty sure I can fix it, but the point is I shouldn't have to. Robe just lost a star for that little snafu. ANOTHER UPDATE 11/2/13: Liked the first one so much, I bought a 2nd one...which the wife decided was just perfect for her, & in her color too. So, I guess I'll be ordering yet a 3rd robe for myself. But this does show that the L/XL size can be a good fit for shorter folks, if you're a bit big around the middle (& you know who you are). Warm and fluffy and probably best of all, great color options! -We picked this as a finalist on our short list of robes (there are so many to pick from!) and figured at this price we had nothing to lose. It shipped fast via Prime and immediately upon opening we were pleased. The fit looks exactly like the video demo shows and the fluff and warmth is just what we wanted - it's not thin as a towel, nor as thick as a bear-fur coat. The warmth and comfort after showering has been reviewed highly in our house and we'd not hesitate to get one again when needed. I ordered Violet storm, and the color is beautiful. The terry fabric is wonderful and it is almost impossible to find a terry robe anywhere. The problem is that I bought the size Amazon recommended and the size I usually order in Amazon clothes because most of them run small. Not this one. It is way too large and I will be exchanging it. I don’t know whether to order one size smaller or two sizes smaller. I wish Amazon could be consistent in their clothes sizing. I get tired of trying on things and then having to return them. Clothing sizes are not consistent any more. Also, I can’t get a smaller robe in violet storm because they don’t have the color in my size any more. I will be ordering it in another color, but I really wanted this color and I think it’s ridiculous that there is such a limited amount of stock in this color. Read more
