Very high quality unit and very accurate (certified with each unit). These are used in hospitals where accurate temperatures and humidity readings are important. Example: laboratory solutions and reagents must be kept within parameters to insure accurate results for blood and viral tests. This is the unit that they use. Works great in my house. These little thermometers are great and come with an ISO-17025 calibration certificate valid for two years. We have six of these devices and we replace all six every two years because it's cheaper than sending them out for a ISO-17024 traceable recalibration. This is the most accurate thermometer I have. If you check their website the same one is half the price but direct from China so no certificate of calibration I assume. You are paying for the calibration. It doesn't say where it is made made in China if you check their website, but calibrated in Webster, TX, company. Almost no thermometer has capability to calibrate so this coming from factory calibrated makes this worth the high price. Accuracy is 1 deg C which is about 1.8 deg F. So you may be reading 2 deg above or 2 deg below the actual temp. I have one other stem traceable thermometer and temp reads the same as this so I know it is accurate. Yes, it does come with a calibration certificate. That certificate shows just how off this unit is (error of about 3 degrees C at room temperature, but not even consistent - it varied plus or minus a degree in variability.) Conclusion - this is not an accurate thermometer. Look elsewhere. Read more
