  • This ready to hang, gallery wrapped art piece features a colorful watercolor skyline of Portland, Oregon. Art and design were always Michael's favorite subjects at school. He was fortunate to land a job as a graphic designer at one of London's most prestigious publishing companies. After 12 years Michael Topsett made the decision to pursue a full-time career creating his own work. The freedom and time to be able to focus solely on his own projects has been a wonderful experience. Athrough Michael likes to experiment with different styles and subjects, hi main focus is on map art. He enjoys looking for unique and interesting ways to depict something which is very familiar. Maps are visual representations of the world we live in, a world which is incredibly diverse. Apart from maps, Tompsett creates Urban landmark and cityscape designs. Average craftmanship

The print itself is nice; good quality; the framing however is sub par and I tried to give it a fair chance. I bought 3 of them, PDX, AMS, DXB the frame of the PDX one was so incredibly skewed I couldn't even balance it properly without it hanging to one side. None of the angles of the frame itself are actually 90 degrees and some of the wood used is not actually straight. Mistakes happen so i sent it back and received a new one... nearly as bad; also not square and one of the sides used curved wood, Disappointing and very obvious when you hang three of them in a row. They're expensive for what they are and I wouldn't mind as much if quality control was better. The other two are within margin to the extent that it visually passes but put a straight angle ruler on them and they show the same problem too. Read more
