Saw an "Irish Pub Shirt" like this in a catalogue -- very nice but priced well over $100. Found this one on Amazon and took a look. It is well made: a nice, thick fabric, and it is well-sewn. The shirt is cut for a slim person. The Small fits well (not roomy) for me at 5' 9" and 140 pounds, but size up if in doubt. To be sure about the sizing for me, I washed the shirt in cold water, dried it on a hanger, and ironed it with a warm steam iron (all of this is on the care tag on the shirt). The fabric softened up well and didn't shrink, and the shirt felt more comfortable. Tip I got from a professional: clothing like this (shirt, pants) in a flat black fabric should be ironed Inside Out -- it avoids white lines on the garment. Read more

I purchased this shirt for a special occasion based on its style and description. I’m kind of picky but I must admit I’ve been impressed since. I’m a bit older and remember the broadcloth of a quality of a good button down which this also had. Plus I know how long they can last and wear. The material here is just as good if not better! I’ve had it for a while it’s gone through washings but still holds the material body, and color. Love the fit. Not too tight or loose, I’m more of a linebacker shape than a gutsy kind of guy but there’s plenty of room to expand yet be tucked away if not needed. Based on its material and fit, this is going to be a long term shirt for me and is highly recommended. It might seem a bit more expensive but you’re getting your money’s worth with this. Read more

I purchased this as a birthday present for my husband, and he loves it. He typically wears a large, so that's what I ordered. However, he has broad shoulders and muscular arms, and the fit was a little too tight. I returned it for an XL and had no problems with the return. The shirt is very dapper and is soft, well-made, and good quality. It pairs nicely with his Harris Tweed waistcoat. I would definitely recommend this shirt and will likely buy this brand again.
