I bought 2 tables several weeks ago and just assembled them. Deliver was quick, the contents in the boxes were not damaged, assembly was easy (assembled by myself), color is perfect, and I can conceal my 2 monitors (both 27 inch). The only thing is the tables are low from a work standpoint and you cannot tilt the monitors (up, down or inward) but you can still see both monitors. I was used to a standing desk. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience has been so frustrating that I feel obligated to document it clearly for other buyers. I purchased the Transformer Table desk through Amazon in December 2025. When it arrived, I was initially impressed. The desk looks beautiful and feels solid. Unfortunately, that impression ended as soon as I began setting it up. Defect #1 — Monitor Bracket Arrived Bent The bracket designed to hold the monitor arrived bent straight out of the box. Ironically, the part even had a “Quality Control” sticker attached to it, which makes the defect even harder to understand. There is also almost no documentation explaining what monitors are compatible with the desk, what weights are supported, or what configurations are safe. Because the bracket was bent, it failed while holding my monitor and caused a brand-new $300 monitor to break. Defect #2 — Desk Mechanism Damaging the Wood On the left side of the desk, one of the piston arms presses into and digs into the wood surface when the desk moves. This appears to be a manufacturing or alignment issue in the mechanism. So at this point I have: • A defective bracket • A desk mechanism damaging the desk • A broken monitor • A workstation I cannot safely use as designed The Customer Support Runaround This is where the experience becomes unbelievable. I contacted Transformer Table support for help. They responded that they cannot assist because the order was fulfilled by Amazon. Gmail - [Transformer Table] Re_… So I contacted Amazon. Amazon told me they cannot send replacement parts and would instead have to ship an entire new desk. This desk is extremely large and heavy. Returning an entire desk because one bracket was defective is absurd. After several attempts with Amazon, they eventually told me that my support window had expired and that I needed to contact the manufacturer. So I contacted Transformer Table again. Their response? They still cannot help because Amazon fulfilled the order. Which means the customer ends up stuck in an endless loop: Amazon → “Contact the manufacturer.” Manufacturer → “Contact Amazon.” Meanwhile the customer is left with a defective premium product and no real support from anyone. Timeline of Events To make this clear for anyone considering purchasing this desk: December 2025 – Desk purchased on Amazon Delivery – Monitor bracket arrives bent out of the box Setup – Bent bracket fails and breaks a new monitor First Contact – Transformer Table says contact Amazon Amazon Contact – Amazon says they cannot send parts Amazon Follow-up – Amazon says the support window has closed Second Contact with Transformer Table – They say they still cannot help because Amazon fulfilled the order Result: Customer left with a defective desk and zero support. Current Situation After spending hours wiring and configuring my workstation, the only way I can safely use the desk is by leaving the desktop permanently raised so the monitors do not fall. That defeats the entire purpose of the product. Final Thoughts The desk looks great, but that doesn’t matter if: • Parts arrive defective • There are no compatibility instructions • Replacement parts cannot be sent • And support simply redirects you in circles A premium product requires premium support. Right now this experience feels like buying a luxury car and being told: “Sorry the wheel fell off, but because you bought it from the dealership, the manufacturer won’t help.” Buyer Beware If everything arrives perfectly, you may enjoy the desk. But if anything goes wrong, be prepared to be caught between Amazon and the manufacturer with no real solution. Easy to assemble - a one or two person quick job. The hinges are smooth and quiet. So far it is fulfilling our work from home needs and dinner for five. I have portable monitors with magnetic stands - these are able to mount by magnetic force and stay on when lifting the lid up and down. The speaker is decent for sound but not as a microphone, although this wasn't a desired function. The only reasons for 4 stars is that the wood isn't the highest quality and the variance in height from desk to table makes using the same chairs a little challenging, especially for children. An amazing addition to our den. Hubby working from home posed a dilemma of where to put a desk. I do not want to look at a messy space or the computer screens he needs. This was a great compromise. Just know this does not fit all monitors. We had both a pair of curved and a pair of flat plus another flat monitor and NONE of them would work with this desk. They have to allow for the cord to be at the bottom and they have to attach at the back where nothing gets in the way to slide them on.
