As a long-time Transformers fan, I was pretty excited for Galactic Trials on PS5. And while it's not a perfect game, I've definitely had a lot of fun with it, especially in short bursts. The core concept of seamlessly switching between vehicle racing and robot combat is genuinely cool and keeps things fresh. Speeding around as Bumblebee or Optimus Prime, then transforming mid-race to duke it out with other bots or blast obstacles, is satisfying when it clicks. The visuals are vibrant and capture the essence of the Transformers universe well, looking great on the PS5. The character roster is decent, and unlocking new Transformers and customizing them adds a nice layer of progression. However, where the game falls a little short is in the execution of those two core gameplay elements. The racing can sometimes feel a bit basic, and the controls, while generally responsive, occasionally feel a tad floaty. The robot combat sections, while conceptually exciting, can sometimes devolve into a bit of a chaotic mess, especially when the camera struggles to keep up with the action. It's not unplayable by any means, but there's a definite lack of polish that prevents it from being truly stellar. Despite these minor frustrations, Transformers Galactic Trials delivers a solid dose of fan service and fast-paced action. It's not going to win any "Game of the Year" awards, but for a casual gaming session, especially if you have a soft spot for Cybertron's finest, it's an enjoyable experience. If you go in with reasonable expectations and are looking for some straightforward Transformers fun, you'll likely have a good time. Fun to play with two people, too. Read more

This game sucks. It's a boring "race" game that is dull and lifeless. 10 minutes into playing it and I was already done with it. It blows a big one. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!! Read more
