This is an excellent backpack. I like that it stands on its own when placed on the floor. and it is well designed with space for everything I need. It looks professional and the quality is much better than other backpacks I have had. It is comfortable when walking to work and is great when traveling (I slide it on the handle of my carryon). I am very happy with this purchase. Read more

Have used this to Europe several times and all around USA. Always fits under the seat on United and American and Southwest and Delta. I would purchase again but this thing is going strong still. Love the padded section for laptop and iPad. I often travel with a travelpro carryon suitcase and this backpack and can bring enough clothes for a week without having to check a bag. Always buy travelpro - good quality and durability. Read more

The Travelpro Crew Executive Choice 3 is a well thought out, attractive backpack. It's well organized and made well. Zippers function well. Fabric is sturdy. I love the reinforced bottom and the fact that the pack stands up on its own. This is a win if you're a subway rider like me. I have no qualms about putting the pack onto the subway floor. I like the internal and external pocket placement. I like that the laptop area is separate and at the back of the pack. I've not used the charging feature. There are some key aspects of the pack that, for me, will take it off the list as travel bag. The straps are uncomfortable. I wish they were ergonomic. I have to use the sternum strap, consistently, to make the bag comfortable. The pack is heavy and, in my opinion, over padded at the back and along the straps. I would love it if Travelpro would find a way shave off at least a half a pound of weight (if not more) off of this bag and add S-curved ergonomic straps. I will note that I'm a 5'3" woman and these complaints may be unique to my frame. Read more

Top loading so you can reach in without having to open and expose your contents (useful when flying and have limited space to pull from under seat and trying to get your things. Space for laptop, tablet, books, rolled up sweater and/or small handbag. Extra pockets. Not too bulky, not too small. Two small water bottles/umbrella fit in the side pockets that unzip to expand. Love this back pack! Read more

- Construction and durability 8 out of 10. Not a 10 because of workmanship of assembly. Lots of little strings from threads showing all over the bag. A few more seconds of quality inspection and taking the time to cut off all of these blemishes, would make a world of difference. - Zippers Not terrible, but also not top of the line. For the price range, this bag should have YKK zippers. - Straps The main reason I bought this bag instead of its larger sibling was because it had straight straps. The larger bag has these L shape straps which if you have ever tried, you know they are simply uncomfortable and not the best for throwing over a single shoulder. My only complaint, is I have Travel pro luggage and the luggage handle strap on the back of the backpack does not easily fit over the Travel Pro luggage handle. I have to fight with it to get it on and off which is simply unacceptable. - Functionality I love the pop top on this unit. Innovative in a way. Think small duffle bag with a laptop case strapped to the back. The battery pack pack, perfect, though the USB plug on the outside of the bag and the USB cable that came with the bag did not work. I had to open the bag and plug directly into my battery. The document pocket is useless on this bag. The front of the bag has a radius or arched, so anything paced in the front document pocket, the zippered pocket on the front, and the open pocket on the front, by default is also forced into this arch. You will not be able to keep any documents flat. The laptop area in the back, is very tight. I suppose it wouldn't be as bad if I just had a lap top, but a laptop and 13" IPAD pro is borderline too much for this bag, which is a good segue into my biggest gripe of this bag. It is perfect for a small laptop and some lap top accessories, but if you are a traveler like myself, where you have a CAD sized laptop and accessories, larger IPAD and accessories, over the ear headphones, some personal items, a small bag of snacks....well its simply too small. Picture a packed paper grocery bag and the item you need is always at the bottom of the bag. - What can Make this Better Needs more depth and width. I would say at least another 3 - 4 inches in depth and 1-2 inches in width to become a true office travel backpack. One of those extra inches should be placed in the laptop area to accommodate larger IPADs. Needs a front pocket that unzips and folds out to expose organization pockets (pen hold, key ring, etc.). Ditch the radius front so I can actually store documents Upgrade the zippers to YKK Test your backpacks to ensure they fit on your suitcase handles. Please keep the same design across your product groupings. Why are there different backpack straps and suitcase handle straps across these backpacks? Read more

I took this on a 12 day vacation that involved 6 flights, 2 hotels, and a cruise. It worked great as a personal carry on item. Fits under airplane seats, and the main compartment is easy to access while down there. It could use a tad more organization inside, or pockets on the outside, but even the big cavity that it has works well for my purposes. The lowest pocket inside was hard to get to when the main cavity was full of stuff. I like that its shape is rigid and doesn't collapse like a traditional backpack. Although this causes it to take up more room when it's empty, its shape is predictable, and it stands up on its own, making it much easier to set down and rummage through. Fits well on top of a roller bag. The charging port works well. Although it is slower than charging directly, I was never in a situation where that was a problem. The padding on the back is extremely thick and comfortable. Could wear all day. The laptop compartment was a tad tight, and made me wonder if it was too tight for my laptop screen to survive. But it worked out. 9.5 / 10 Read more

I travel every week with my work. I own a lot of travelpro luggagecand have been pleased with the functionality, the longevity, and the warranty UNTIL NOW. This backpack is expensive and I expected it to last. Unfortunately after only 1.5 years the material is failing in the seams. Travelpro will not honor the lifetime warranty claiming wear and tear. Sadly for them, I will not purchase another Travelpro item. Read more

I bought this bag because it feels very sturdy and has good size placement and compartments I would need as a personal item sized backpack. It looks like it would do the job well and I hope it does. Read more
