Very nice car. Very fast on 3s battery. Good handling properties.

Liked everything about the car. Very well done. Good electronics. Good acceleration (and top speed) on 3s battery. Dusted the car off and took it out for a run the other day. Very well executed car. Good value. The only caveat I have with the car are the wheels and tires. I use the following : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B2LLF91Zref_=pe_123509780_1038749300_t_fed_asin_title&th=1 Hobbyfire pre-glued 12mm hex, 27 mm wheels and tires for $15.95. Use the link above to get them on Amazon. Given the cars incredible performance on a 3s battery, it is essential that you find an affordable set of wheels and tires that will hold up. (the tires only last about an hour during hard use), Also they have to be rotated from front to rear for wear. The original Traxxas wheels and tires that I had on the car were foam. They were o.k. but eventually the foam tires separated from the rim. Plus, they cost $40 for a set of four versus $15.95 for the Hobbyfire wheels and tires. Have not even put the optional pinion gear that pushes the car to an advertised 70 mph. Plenty fast with the standard pinion gear. As a plus, the motor and speed controller will not get too hot in the summer with the standard pinion gear. Find a big area as the car gobbles up the road quickly. Very impressed with the car. Not for the novice with the 3s battery. Read more

It’s an expensive hobby

Definitely needs a few little modifications, but for not much money, you can have a great car. But this is an expensive hobby and you can easily go through a set of tires in just a few runs.. Read more

This thing is awesome

I love this thing. Arrived quickly and it is what I thought it was. It's super fast. I put drift tires on it almost immediately and it's fantastic as a drifter but when I did a speed test with the stock tires it was spooky fast. I have a slash vxl 4wd also and this thing seems quite a bit faster , especially if you could find some wide open flat smooth concrete. I haven't even topped it out in my neighborhood yet, I doubt I will, just not enough space . But as a drift car I love it, it's exactly what I was hoping it would be. Very responsive steering and throttle , rides super low to the ground , stays stable. I got a 190mm NSX shell from Tamiya and it fits great with a little bit of trimming. And a factory ford GT shell which looks nice but nobody told me it requires pn 8315 , a narrow rear mounting post. All that said, I think this car is a blast to drive and I am very happy I got it. Would recommend (in fact a buddy drove it and now he's getting one) Hope this is helpful info. Read more

This RC car is about as awesome as it gets for on road touring style racing

This RC car is about as awesome as it gets for on road touring style racing, or spinning around the parking lot for fun. It has a top end speed of 70 mph with included optional gearing, pretty crazy to imagine for 1:10 scale which would be equivalent to 700 mph full scale! I highly recommend this RC car or any other Traxxas RC vehicles. I have owned several Traxxas RC cars and trucks and believe me they do not disappoint in both performance and durability. After bashing my 4TEC around for a few weeks and being quite hard on it, my only issue so far was one rear axle popped out after hitting a basketball goal post. Durability is huge for me since I like to abuse RC cars L & R. >:-) Read more

Stock up in spur gears

Eats spur gears for breakfast. Something on this level should be metal by default. Come on Traxxas and I am not even running 3s. Read more
